What are you wittering on about now ? You do understand that Councils have pension committees set up to decide on pension investments, it's not down to every member to decide on their investments

And what has any of this bollox got to do with Tice going against his 'principles' whenever there's a chance to make a few quid, and Farage f***ing off on Holiday when the House of Commons are discussing the changes to his beloved Brexit ?
My workplace pension has simple in/out options for ethical investments. I had assumed councils would be able to do the same. But obviously you wouldn't be so aggressively confident if you weren't sure of your facts.

Local government pension schemes have nothing to do with Farage going on holiday. Why would you think they should?

A lot of workplace pensions have options (see H's post above). But what have Local Govt pensions got to do with Nigel Farage and Reform, the actual thread subject ???

Absolutely nothing, but it was you that started wittering on about them because you had no answer to why Tice would be investing in solar panels, whilst claiming to yourself and others like you, that if Reform wins the next election the party would impose new taxes on the renewable industry which he called “a massive con”.

Don't call them stupid when they say stupid things. They get all wokey about hurty words.

I'm really trying not to, but God knows, they don't make it easy :lolol:

He said there was a “direct link” between higher electricity prices and the growth of renewable energy generation.
If you think that what Bodian and I are talking about shouldn't be on this thread, then complain to a moderator.

Are you referring to this post, where he schooled you and then asked you about Tice again

Final salary pensions for council employees were scrapped in 2014. So, no council staff retiring now will be fully on final salary schemes, although some of those employed before 2014 will still have an element of it.

However, this is nothing to do with the Tice nonsense. His argument is that net-zero stuff is crap and we should get rid of it. Yet his own company saves money by installing solar panels on it's properties. Hypocrisy at its best.

Gods country fortnightly
Looks like Nige is on his 10th overseas trip since becoming MP.

Apparently he’s now on holiday, what’s wrong with the summer recess mate ?

Depends on whether it’s Defined Benefit or defined contribution. DB schemes will be done by Trustees where as DC is down to the individual.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14734579/Pakistani-paedophile-teenage-girl-UK-fatwa.html - This is why more and more people are looking at reform. Whether they would actually do anything different is another matter.
Government <> judicial system

He’s being allowed due process under international human rights law and the latest appeal will be reheard because there’s a possibility the judge made an error.

People switching their support to a racist party because of things like this are on a slippery slope. Reform want to leave the ECHR and have said it’s the first thing they’ll do. A vote for Reform is a vote to strip those rights from every UK citizen.

But then, last summer we had people setting fire to hotels because they had foreign people in them. That’s how great this country is
