Well we saw how he reacted in both Brentford games so he doesn’t have a great track record.

So can see him reacting badly to a training ground tackle. I can’t see his tackle being on purpose, but any reaction IS on purpose.

Almost get the feeling with Andy 'breaking' the story, its almost like he's had the blessing of the club in doing it, as it all but engineers Pedro's exit in the summer.

Bad apple, need a happy ship etc, we could almost set up an exit statement bingo ;)

Sounds initially plausible, but in sounding the "he fights his team mates" alarm, they are reducing the fee we may receive

I wonder if the subtext of what is going on is ....

Joao Pedro is playing the "I want a move, i'll act like an idiot to force them to sell me cheap" card

The club have responded with kind of a "We're calling your bluff, we don't want other players to see that this is how you engineer a move, we'll play you in the reserves next season if we have to" approach

I'm not so sure - the club were sticking to the "personal reasons" line pretty hard on Monday.

And whilst you could argue the case that this is a "personal reason", I think that term implies some sort of family concern, or similar, that needs attending to and not, say, squad disharmony.

I'm not sure it's in the club's interests for it to be public knowledge that a player may be a bit of a rotten apple - it certainly doesn't help transfer fee negotiations, should it come to that, if Pedro is thought of as someone we actively want rid of.

Doesn’t seem to similar to the Trossard exit

Silly old bat
Albion Unlimited says there are no sulkers, or rather Warren Aspinall tells Guy Butters there are no sulkers and we have a great team spirit.

Aspinall added: "We used to have a great team spirit, even if you weren't in the team. What I see now in this Brighton side is we've got no sulkers. We've got nobody thinking 'I'm on the bench, I'm sulking because I'm not playing'. Or someone going on there and not passing, waving their hand up in the air when they don't get the ball. I've not seen that for the last few months."
