Probably the best two players I’ve seen in an Albion shirt, and I suspect that’s true for many others too. Something I never envisaged saying 18 months ago, however, given my love for the man…is Mitoma now ahead of MacAllister as a player for us? I really think he might be.

Struggling to remember a player for any club who can bring a ball out of the air and kill it dead better than Mitoma. That one on the touchline yesterday was breathtaking, up there with the one he went on to score with against Chelsea.

I’m going for Mitoma, more exciting to watch imo

The oohs and aahs and general noise of appreciation when he did that was superb.

He did similar at West Ham away in December too.

Mitoma is quite a way ahead in terms of what he has actually done for the Albion. Mac Allister was great but if we are honest the vast majority of his goals were penalties and he didn’t have that many assists. Mitoma is the most skilful player I have ever seen in an Albion shirt and scored two of the best goals we have ever scored and certainly at the top level.

Mitoma consistently make things happen from literally standing starts.
He creates chaos from nowhere, despite being double marked.
Very few players can do this.
Mac is a class below.

Why is Mitoma not starting. Why did he not come on at half time when we were 2-1 down
I thought this too. He did have a minor issue previously, so hopefully that's the reason and not wrapping him in cotton wool, pending sale.

Gonna mix it up a bit.

Whilst Mitoma has brilliant ball control, a footballing brain, a great turn, a cut inside etc etc…….almost everything, when attacking a defender down the wing he is so bloody predictable! You just know, as must the defender, that he is going to cut inside at some point, often with devastating effect. But why the hell can he not, just occasionally, get to the byline down the outside before popping it into the box? It would just add another option for the other team to worry about.

You mean that thing we've all seen him do countless times? 🤔

We've had some terrific players over the last few years and I don't think you can easily compare a winger to a midfielder ....

That said, it has to be Mitoma hasn't it? Isn't the reason we go to football to see moments of breathtaking skill? What an athlete. What a footballer.

Kauru Mitoma in my view is the best player to ever play for us. I understand there were some good players in the dim and distant past, but they never got us as high for as long as the ones now. And Mitoma is the best of the last 5 years. Which makes him the best ever.
