Well yeah, me too, I thought he was a very exciting signing and showed early promise. But Han Solo really knows his football onions
He does but he’s also not always right. There was a time he was arguing with me that Maupay was a better player than Welbeck! 😂

I thought Gruda showed his quality and potential from his first game. But he’s quite clearly more suited to playing as a 10 than a right winger. He excites me massively.

I need to watch the game again, don't really remember him doing anything particularly special and thought he should have had a shot instead of hanging onto the ball a few times. Also bodged up a 3 on 2 breakaway with a very heavy touch. I was right in the east-south corner though so not the best of views, so I'm looking forward to watching the highlights.

A totally different player down the middle than when he was pushed out wide for most of his early appearances, where he really deosnt have the pace or strength to make much impact. Very exciting seeing him in that playmaker role. Him, George, and Facu next season all competing for that shirt could be really exciting.

Maybe the slick pass to Ayari for the first goal?
That was a marvelous bit of skill and vision. Did a very similar scooped pass second half to help convince unbelievers it was intentional.
Also after the early penalty appeal he noticeably tried to stay on his feet. Intelligent enough to play to the ref rather than keep going down easily.

The assist for Ayaris goal was wonderful, under pressure and a little off balance, a first time perfectly weighted gem of a ball. Then there was the back heel for Welbecks chance, what a team goal that would / should have been. He was everywhere, constantly on the ball, excellent balance and composure, yes a couple of times he should have got a shot of earlier, but he was really good today.

Looking forward to it, didn't even know he'd assisted Ayari, and anything that happened up the north stand end just looked a mass of bodies, couldn't tell what was happening for a lot of it! Must get better seats next time.

He’s absolutely not quick enough to be a winger or strong enough to be a tracking back winger but he’s been absolutely fantastic at 10. Would much prefer him to Pedro, especially if the latter has had a hissy.

Great game tonight. :clap2:

He’s got it imo. So pleased for him over the last couple of games and tonight especially .sounds as if he’s had a bit of a hard time being away from his family, so great to see him starting to bloom..fantastic feet as well. Much rather have him that the mid 90’s fashion accident Elliot.

He absolutely terrorised that Liverpool defence and just skips past players at will. As others have said a real marker of a performance and Fab had a long encouraging word in his ear when he came off. Let’s hope this is the injection of confidence and belief he needed to kick in from.

Agree with all of it...... but then the question is Gruda or Georginio at 10?

First World problems!
