[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Liverpool *** Official Match Thread ***

Sussex based family who support Liverpool but have season tickets at the Albion as they also like PL football? Quite a few PL fans of other clubs do this in my experience. Try people watching the reactions of “Albion” fans at the Amex when a top six club scores on the concourse screens pre and post match.
If I see any sign of an away fan near me tonight, particularly one of them, they will get told to WHERE TO GO.

As others have said, I think JP is off - I can’t say I’m desperately sad, out of Baleba, Mitoma, JPVH, Georginio (and Rutter) Welbeck, Verbruggen, Hinshelwood and given his recent importance probably Webster too, he’s fairly low down on the list of players I am sad to see leave - even as a Brazil international number 9.

Especially given we’ll make another very tidy profit on him.

And no, I’m not doing the old “he’s leaving, so he’s shit” stuff - there’s a good player there - but the above players directly offer more across the whole season than Pedro has done - other than penalty kicks.

Yeh.

I've stuck up for him today and quite a bit over the last few weeks.

Seriously not impressed with him and not buying there's a personal reason other than he's just somewhere else pending a move. The club shouldn't be paying him a penny if this is the case.

Gone right off Joao Pedro anyway, we're a better team without him dribbling into pointless deadends because he doesn't like to share.

Don't think his rare moments of magic make up for how much of a passenger he's been recently.
Anyone know the stats, but we seemed to have a decent run in the autumn when he got injured, and we’ve improved since he got sent off against Brentford.

Pedro’s probably going in the summer but I don’t see why that should affect tonight. If this was during a transfer window it would make sense for him to be awkward and not play etc. As it’s not there may be an alternative explanation to him downing tools. Of course it’s possible he was told he was starting on the bench and he’s having a sulk but he’s not done anything like that before.
