Yalcouye has yet to choose between playing for Mali and the Ivory Coast. While one journalist on X states that he has been called up by Mali for this month's games against Comoros and the Central African Republic, other Mali football news accounts are throwing cold water on the suggestion that he will show.

Mali are to name their squad on Saturday morning. We already know Yalcouye won't be playing alongside Adingra for the Ivory Coast this month as their squad was named this week.

Him and Bissouma be a decent midfield

I think we can say now it would be a surprise if Malick wasn't incorporated into the squad next season.

This leaves us with 6, I make it (Yalcouye, Baleba, Hinsh, Ayari, Weiffer, Gomez) fighting for 2 spots. If Milner signs a playing deal, then 7. If you count O'Riley as a CM then 8.

You'd think then something must give. Gomez to be loaned possibly. Of course if the indisputable number 1 out of that selection of very good players, Baleba is sold then the numbers look about right.

much Depends on if we qualify for Europe, then you need a very big squad

I think Baleba will go sadly. But we do have the numbers already sorted and lots of good replacements there.

I have a feeling Matt O'Riley will not be with us next season

One probably needs to move on, and it's probably him or, if the right offer came in, Ayari.

Not to say I'm pushing for either to leave, especially Yasin, I just think that who makes up our depth options in midfield next season may entirely be dictated by market value and return on investment. Ayari has two years left on his deal so it's the profit maximisation window if he doesn't sign a new deal and there is reported interest from some big clubs abroad. Would be a shame but also would be okay.

Maybe, but it's going to be a big leap from Austrian league to PL.

As was Caicedo coming from Beerschot. That worked out quite well though.

I also disagree that O’Riley was pants against Wolves.

Difference of opinions is what makes NSC so good
