Seriously, what chance has Barco had???
To be fair to @Mustafa II predicting a player we’ve loaned with an obligation to buy will leave is quite the tip.

Got any winning horses Mustafa? Preferably that haven’t already finished.

Whereas others will claim that it proves Hurzeler is out of his depth.
Then someone (probably me) will bang on about injuries as we all forget that sometimes even the best teams don't win football matches.

Palace lose their first game and NSC have a thread about relegation and demise of palace only to end up with egg on their face. 🤷
Come on Loz, that's happening way before next season. We already have your manager and all players over 19 leaving, complete capitulation in Europe and a double relegation.

Its our way of coping with the, frankly inhumane thing that happened at the weekend.

Congr.. . . nope, sorry can't do it.

In fairness, Loz, I think one of those relegation threads for us has been running unbroken on the Palace board for eight years now.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Would be nice to keep our POTS and our future superstars for once and then maybe we will actually kick on and progress.

I think its obvious Pedro is off and potentially Mitoma too. Think were also going to struggle to keep hold of Jpvh. Baleba is going to get offers too (although i wonderbif we can resist those for another season and convince him to develop with us) That's a lot of income, but also a lot of instability and rebuilding. Possibly covering the majority of last summers outlay. I think we may see more ups and downs next season.

What I would hope would be that loan players come back committed to the cause and ready to play. The likes of Enciso, Buona, Barco and Ferguson realising what a good thing it is to be here, committing to the club and knuckling down. Sadly I think it's a but if a long shot and some, if not all of those may be off.

Depending on who goes amd who stays I don't think we need too much. It's more about getting people really fit and bedding in the loanees like Yalcouye and Greek guy.

If JPvH goes we need another 20 something quality CB. (May need that anyway) and a specialist right back.

Now that the season is effectively over for us - what do you want to happen, think will happen, or predict will happen over the summer going into next season?
Will give it some deeper thought after a few weeks break following our last match of this season but …
Predict we will get rid of some of our weaker links - this includes Milner, Adingra, Ferguson and Barco. Suspect Enciso & Sarmiento will be going too. Looks like Lamptey on a free as well.
Not much ‘prediction’ given Barco is on a loan with an obligation to buy.

Reckon we'll see some of our young players go out on loan, including a couple of surprises, depending who we get in. Buonaonotte will be back in the first team. Cashin goes out on loan for the season.
Buonanotte will probably be sold - or have another loan - we are very over supplied in the attacking midfield area.
Predict (and hope) our main targets will be Defenders and a striker. Reckon we'll get at least one big name 32+ year old, which seems to be the way.

I suppose Nélson Semedo (33) (RB) might be a possible oldie to get in and if Bart leaves, there’s always Benité (32) from the farmers league I suppose - both out of contract this summer. But can’t see us getting a Kevin de Bruyne ‘big name’ 32+.
Verbruggen, Baleba, Pedro, van Hecke and Mitoma will be linked to big clubs for big fees. Predict Baleba will be the only one that goes (£80m+), leaving a big hole in our midfield, but we will look to replace.
When have any of them NOT been linked?

Riveting stuff - thanks.

I think the summer will be about whether we can keep players rather than buy them. Van Hecke's departure is the biggest risk to the club, given he only has two years left and the lack of obvious replacements from within the ranks. Most likely the club won't want it going down to one year, but if we can get through to deadline day we may be able to get him to sign a bumper new deal

I'd be happy keeping hold of what we've got, plus post pre-season pick of loanees returning

Who would have named Ayari this time last season ? And if we have to let a 'star' go, João Pedro for me.

I'm close to 100% that Enciso leaves, He's got a year left, doesn't seem to have any interest in extending and, beyond all that, I'm not sure he passes the much-vaunted No Dickheads Test, sadly.

Mitoma has to be the most likely sale of the big names. Two years left on his contract along with his age, makes this summer very much the sweet spot in terms of achieving the best return.

Carlos Baleba is just so good that it seems unlikely that there aren't a host of clubs who would be willing to push hard for him this summer. Will it be hard enough to truly test Bloom's resolve, though?

I do feel slightly surprised n all the supposed interest in Pedro, but if two or more of the big boys are keen, then it's going to be difficult to resist the bids that will come our way.

It could be a very big summer of spending from us again if two or more of the above deals come to fruition. We've already spent the best part of £35m.

A huge number of decisions lie ahead in terms of who stays/goes/loans and that's without the inevitable unwanted bids for our top performers. Lamptey, Enciso, Sarmiento, Webster, Steele, Milner, Adingra, Sima, Cozier-Duberry, Yalcouye, Buonanotte, Mazilu, Osman, Rushworth/McGill/Scherpen & Ferguson to name just a few.

If Mitoma leaves, we might have a problem at LW.

His cover in Adingra and Enciso, are both either underperforming or have asked to leave the club. Barco already been sold on. Osman only good enough for the bench in the Eredivisie. Solly can't seem to bounce back from injury.

João Pedro on the left maybe (assuming he stays), but he's somewhat wasted there. Or maybe Kadioglu?

Otherwise Mitoma leaving could trigger some player churn on the left.
