What are the possibilities of Man City being punished with a loss of points, and if the punishment might happen for this season or next?

Brighton to win or draw against Liverpool
City to win or draw against Bournemouth
Villa to beat United
Brighton to beat spurs
Forest to beat Chelsea
Chelsea to beat Betis

31.67/1 with Paddy Power
Bit stingy odds.

Only need Villa to win or draw

Not sure if we play Wieffer in right back as he's match sharp, or Velts for being a dedicated RB.

I'd assume the latter, but Fab has been complementary of Wieffer in that position...

Last week at Wolves Wieffer was immense at RB, though he had Lamptey in front of him.

We could always do both Mats and Velts.

Veltman at RB with Wieffer in front. We'd lose Tariqs pace though.

As well as all these games going in our favour, there are some very extreme records on spanish sides having not lost major finals club or country for many years/ games which also needs to happen, big assumption Chelsea will win.

Real Betty have never been in one. Chelsea have won every match so far.

I'm only being positive because there is still half a chance of us being helped out.

I think the biggest stumbling point is Forest beating Chelsea.

A good point.

In La Liga, Betis have drawn twice with Barca and beaten both Madrid teams once.

I also think their manager struggles with cup games. They've not faced a team anywhere near this level in the Conference so far.

all independent events and have absolutely no bearing on the Chelsea - Betis game. A complete nothing stat.

Besides; the Premier League is currently in the ascendancy - https://elofootball.com/
this website which tries to quantify how much better clubs are than one another has Chelsea miles in front, heck, the site even has us in front of everyone in La Liga barring the big 3.

The biggest stumbling block surely is we have to beat the champions this evening. Our home form isn’t exactly good.

Draw is ok if we beat Spurs away. Of course beating Liverpool means we only need a point at Spurs.

I don't get all this desperate desire to scrape into the conference league. We have been very successful with long term planning. As long as we can keep the squad intact, I see us coalescing into a seriously good team. Which should qualify for Europa 26/27. Why risk putting a young, developing side under extra pressure? Patience will be rewarded.

Biggest stumbling block is us. We are bottlers.

Agree in principle but flip side is we've probably got a better chance of keeping the whole squad together if we can earn them euro football next year

If we’re serious about Europe, and I mean potentially going deep and potentially winning something, we need more European know-how, need more experience of flights, hotels, recovery, preparation etc.

Conference while less prestigious is also something we could win.
