SHOREHAM BY SEA
The only small mitigation is that it's not been that hot (yet). Went to the allotment yesterday - first time in a week. Thought I'd have to water but actually plants were coping.

I agree a hopepipe ban is needed. The water companies will be terrified having just hiked everybody's bills, but it's the right thing to do IMO.
There’s been a keen N/NE breeze for most of the last couple of months….thats kept temps down

Is this caused by that central heating I keep hearing about?
No, I reckon it's the gays. I definitely remember some US politician blaming extreme weather conditions on them a few years ago.

Lots of rain for Brighton from Wednesday onwards. And cold for late May.

Great that we're finally getting some rain. So needed. The symbols over the next week or so are deceptive though - mostly the odd shower some days (if that it seems) and still plenty of sun where it'll still feel warm. Bbc temps for brighton are so often forecast low. met office is more accurate, predicting a few degrees higher.

The summer rain thing of unpredictability. It couldn’t end up several inches of rain or a smidgeon. Unlike autumn/winter low pressure systems forecast to deliver rain and they do.
