No.Do we change our model, or go shit and bust for a major trophy?!

No, can't imagine the plan changes because Palace won a cup.No not the Band of Brothers episode, this is a genuine concern.
We know our model, that is to develop youngsters and sell them on for profit. We have done that since we got to Premier League, we know Tony Bloom wont take the gamble and spend within our means.
But now after today, a living nightmare for most of us (there some of us on here who are not even thinking this effects us)
124 years of not winning a major trophy, something those c**** have now got hanging over us.
Are we going have to shit and bust next season ad beyond, to get over the line?
Remember next season the league will be tougher, Leeds will spend. Burnley I am not entirely sure they will, but can they afford another relegation?
Sunderland or Sheffield United to join them, but we know The Blades record in this league. But if Sunderland get promoted, with a ambitious young owner at the helm this league could get extremely tougher.
Do we change our model, or go shit and bust for a major trophy?!
Grief I hope not …my sisters favourite program….watching the testcard was more entertainingThey're not reviving it again are they?
Just say NoMy mum wouldn’t let me watch Grange Hill because Crossroads was on the other side![]()
We didn’t start the fire!Dick. Hereford. Prescott. Tony. PL. Europe…
Absolutely no chance. And you know it.There is absolutely no reason to think a trophy isn’t achieveable with the progress the club has been making.
Yes it is.We will win a trophy before this is all over. Maybe even two.
I would argue that our progress is built on firmer ground than Palace's.
Lets try and keep our shit together.
I would expect their players to get picked off. At least 2, probably 3 of Guehi, Wharton, Eze, Mateta.Yes it is.
But ultimately our model relies on finding player that will be world class and having them before they reach their potential.
Palace's first 11 is full of players below that level, but playing at their peak.
Our model is better in the long term, but diminishes the chance of true glory.
It's why De Zerbi left.
If Parish doesn't buckle, Palace will have a stronger squad to play in a weaker Europa league.
It doesn't bear thinking about.
I would expect their players to get picked off. At least 2, probably 3 of Guehi, Wharton, Eze, Mateta.
They are in a weaker position to replace them than we are. Plenty of money to spend so it could go either way, but I bet they f*** it up.
Then, when Glasner goes, they are back to square one without a coherent plan and the lottery of picking a new manager.
They have won the FA Cup, but I would still rather be in our position than theirs.
Let them enjoy it, I say, and let's concentrate on what we have going on.
If nothing else the raging positiviy of NSC will see us through![]()

This post has cheered me up. Thank you. After those tossers won it yesterday the gloating received by a friend was beyond bearable. It's the wanking over their fans by the media that does my head in. Someone said of the TV that these fans deserve it...bollocks do they.I would expect their players to get picked off. At least 2, probably 3 of Guehi, Wharton, Eze, Mateta.

Eze has a £60mill buyout clause activated this summer. Based on current form, surely there will be plenty of interest. This is where Parish is different from Bloom though.
Palace won't need to sell any of them.
Parish would rather gamble on taking the glory from the football field than building a stable future.
It's likely that Guehi will get to leave, but that will be about it, IMO
It's higher than £60m (£68 I think)Eze has a £60mill buyout clause activated this summer. Based on current form, surely there will be plenty of interest.
They have also lost Freedman who did a petty good job getting these players in.
Do the big clubs really worry about selling on value? Their MO is buying players at their peak for instant impact. Man UTD pay £300k a week for a 33 yo Casemiro. Utd and Spurs are the two clubs that Eze would walk straight into the starting XI IMO.It's higher than £60m (£68 I think)
Possibly someone will come in for him, but who?
He's 27, so there won't be any resale value.
Most of the clubs with £68m spare, won't see him as the missing piece to their squad.
Newcastle, Liverpool, City, United, Arsenal don't need him.
He's too old for Chelsea
Spurs won't pay the money for him.
Villa might take a punt, but other than that, it would have to be a bid from abroad.
Eze will be happy to sign a new deal with Parish and Parish will be happy to make him the new Wilf.

Chelsea - Sancho goes back to MUMaybe not, but who needs him?
Chelsea - Sancho goes back to MU
MU - big clear out predicted
Spurs - Son replacement needed / rebuild
Arsenal - need goals
ManCity - rebuild likely, Grealish going etc
Bigger question might be who won’t be in for him? Good for us as he’s likely a big alternative over Mitoma interest.
