Perhaps the Palace fans, to their great credit, realized that people who punch each other because they support different football teams are f*cking idiots.
Or too busy punching each other?

They got generational luck on this run: no PL side until the semis, then Villa and City rolled over for them and they had VAR backing them. Pep bringing on players for their debut in the final, that's how little it meant to them.

They are the spawniest fuckers on earth, I will happily bet they finish below 13th next season, having to contend with playing in Europe and with Glasner eventually getting poached by a bigger club.

The difference is them bringing in a manager with a proven track record of winning IMO, and us gambling on one that might be at that level in a few years. He was an incredible appointment for them, you have to give them credit for that. Win at all costs, ugly, park football, but it gets results. But he ain't going to stick around if a better offer comes knocking.

I still genuinely believe we will be having the last laugh.

They got Fulham in the QF to be fair. But Fulham didn't turn up, and neither did a Champions League distracted listless Villa. Prior to that it was Stockport, Doncaster and Millwall - so effectively, their customary bye into the last 8 (check out 1990).

Everything went for them today. Absolutely everything. Having their man of the match keeper somehow staying on the pitch after one of the worst VAR calls of all time, and then having a Gordon Banks day. Haaland inexplicably bottling the penalty. 15 year olds being brought on for their debut in a Cup Final. City literally scuffing every chance they got. 94% / 6% possession. Palace camped in their half all afternoon with about 3 touches in City's box, two of them offside.

I f*cking knew they'd snide it. At least I got £65 in beer tokens out of it. But its scant consolation.

I still can’t understand Villa’s attitude to the semi final. They’d been knocked out of the Champions League *11* days prior and should have treated the cup as their last shot at silverware this season. They didn’t rest first teamers either so you can’t claim they were focused on the league. Really frustrating.

It's shite because our home fans are shite. Full of plastics and tourists. Palace fans in their defence create good atmospheres at crucial times which undoubtedly contributes to their success.

We collectively need to do more to be the 12th man. Even though their ultras are cringe - they will certainly be the 12th man at times.
Really? Spoken like a true palace fan . Have a word with yourself. They will finish 12th…again . Would you swap places just because they won the FA cup.

I genuinely hope with all my f***ing energy this club of wankers goes bust, the world would be completely indifferent without these Nigel wankers clogging up the world.

Villa's "attitude" wasn't the problem. The problem is that Glasner had Emery on toast, like he has done every time they've met in the past (4W, 1D, 0L), and they simply couldn't handle us on the break. We were just much better than them on the day, as we were in all of our three wins against Villa this season.

I'm at work :)
Why don't you get some sleep? You'll feel much better in the morning, apart from the fact that we'll still have won the FA Cup.

Biggest moment in your clubs history and you can’t even take a days annual leave, miserable existence, wouldn’t be me, I’d be in a f***ing coma from alcohol poisoning.

town full of eejits
Jarred Gillett , the Aussie ref who left the country after gifting Brisbane the A-League championship final , being given the game to ref despite being engaged to the Brisbane chairmans daughter , then lobs up at Wembley to ref the FA cup final , only to allow the Palace keeper to stay on the pitch despite clearly handling the ball outside the area and denying Haaland a scoring opportunity , I don't think much of Citeh to be honest and hope the points deduction or whatever they are going to give them happens sooner rather than later but allowing Henderson to stay on the pitch has no doubt swayed the games outcome......VAR ? pathetic , can only imagine people all over the world , huddled in huts and rural bars all over Asia , Africa , South America going wtf is that referee on ...??!! don't begrudge Palace though , they done us again this season despite our respective league positions , I think at the moment they are a better team that us.

Steered clear of the game and here yesterday.

Only found out the result at 7pm yesterday.
I wasn't surprised.
They heave had an exceptional season alongside all the luck in the world in the cup.

Their name was on the cup.
Been saying it all year.

Hopefully that was a big enough shop window to get Glasner a decent job for next season.

Really dark day for the Albion.

Even winning the League Cup is not enough anymore.

We will need to win the FA Cup, or something in Europe. We could be waiting a long time. It might never happen at all. ☹️
Utter rubbish. We have had some dark days. Yesterday was not one of them.
