Anyone still thinking this rivalry is not worth bothering about?

and…hoping for a Palace win today?

I can remember the Alan Sunderland final but the Brighton 83 final I was just the right age to appreciate the day and Steve Foster‘s headband, funny what you remember about specific days.
Grealish (RIP) wore the headband on the Saturday final because Fozzy had been booked a few games before the final and was banned. He desperately tried to get himself sent off by getting a second booking as that meant the ban started later but the ref was having none of it. He did lead the team out in the replay though wearing the headband.

Great knowledge SSB, didn’t realise Foster didn’t play, I can just remember him standing out because of the headband, just like Kilcline with the long hair looking like a lunatic it’s a thing that is etched.

This is either a fishing trip, you're a Palace spy or you need to give your head wobble. At the very least our season is over if they win but worse they get into Europe and win a major trophy before we do...so no I want them to get thrashed.

Yep, Palace spy it is

There are plenty on NSC who sneer at the rivalry, just in case you hadn’t noticed

It’s as you say, certain things just stick in the mind. I can still hear Brian Clough after Gary Williams scored a wonder goal against Peter Shilton effectively saying it was a fluke because “ nobody beats Peter Shilton from 25 yards”! Happy memories.

Forest also trained on our school pitch (Cardinal Newman) which was about a mile from the ground before a game at the Goldstone back in the day and someone nicked one of your players boots. I also know for a fact that one of your players also asked one of the younger female teachers at the school then out on a date. I can’t name names but he was Irish (of the Northern part).

Nope, made me refocus on how much I dispise them. Especially their knock off Barcelona strip and their spotty teenage 'ultras' wearing balaclavas. Oh and who can forget their drum that apparently means they are best home fans in the league.

Eze is a decent chap though. Not fitting of Palarse.

As there's no real football to speak of today, here's some coverage of the pre-game entertainment before the Coventry v Spurs 1987 FA Cup Final.

Crodo would love this - Ray Winstone, Steve Cram, Tarby, Adam Woodyatt, Dennis Waterman, Daley Thompson, Nick Owen, David Frost, Steve Davis...

Ronnie Corbett with the post-match presentations.

And Saint and Greavsie on co-commentary.

I can’t believe I watched all of that…
