I refuse to give anymore airtime to any Palace trolls on NSC or Europhobes so this is a match thread for those few are going to bring themselves to watch and anyone willing Citeh to crush Palace’s hopes of Europe and increase ours today:

So, Champions League qualification is obviously important for City, so do they put out a weakened team today as their match on Tuesday is more crucial.
If City lose today the benefit for them is that Bournemouth would have nothing to play for on Tuesday, meaning a better chance of ECL qualification.

I’ve made my peace with the awful inevitably of it, that way when it happens it’s just going to be a mercy.

That's a quirk I'd not even considered before.

Damn you!

As there's no real football to speak of today, here's some coverage of the pre-game entertainment before the Coventry v Spurs 1987 FA Cup Final.

Crodo would love this - Ray Winstone, Steve Cram, Tarby, Adam Woodyatt, Dennis Waterman, Daley Thompson, Nick Owen, David Frost, Steve Davis...

Ronnie Corbett with the post-match presentations.

And Saint and Greavsie on co-commentary.

I can't believe you are serious? Losing to Palace would be very embarrassing for City. I fully expect a strong team and them to go for it today in 90. I don't get all this doom and gloom that it's inevitable that Palace will win, they've fluked their way to the final so far.

I’m on a train to London.
Disappointing how many got on in Palace tops and carrying Palace scarves and other paraphernalia in places like Shoreham and Portslade. At least they realise that it’s a better place to live down here and their kids might end up supporting a proper football team.

Yup, this.

I keep reminding myself that as little as just over a month ago, Palace went 0-2 up at City and still managed to lose 5-2 👍

I’ll counter though. City can’t take the risk of only getting Europe via the league. If the EPL actually deduct points then the only way they get Europe is winning today.

Depressing to think that pretty well everyone in the country will be backing Palace other than most Albion (we do seem to have some weird fans who want a Palace win, sadly) and all City fans

The wankfest in the media if they win will be intense and as long lasting as Newcastle winning the League Cup

This, please god this!
Slight caveat is while we move up one place in the league because City wouldn't finish in a European place does that mean the conference place goes?

I don't normally remember dreams, but last night I dreamt that through some quirk of fate that no-one could explain, Palace were playing Wrexham in the final, and so suddenly realised 8th place loses out on Europe regardless.

I think city are going to win, they only didn’t beat manure last year because they had been on a massive bender the week before celebrating their other wins.

No idea and I thought we were done with all of the complicated scenarios and along comes another!
I could live with it though miss out on Europe but Palace get f*** all.
