Lambast me if you wish but i've no interest in women's football :cautious:

I've no interest in, say, fishing, or, to use another example, darts. The way I get round it though is by just not opening threads that are obviously about things like fishing and darts, and especially not solely for the purpose of telling all the people who are into fishing and darts that I don't like fishing and darts. Because that would be weird, in the sense that they don't care in the slightest that I don't like fishing or darts and in fact they would probably find it quite odd that I felt such a compulsion to share my dislike of fishing and darts with them as they just want to get on with enjoying their fishing and darts while I enjoy the things that I like, such as football, whoever's playing. Some of the people who like fishing and darts also enjoy football, and that's nice, because then I can debate football with them and we're all happy.

Find more than ~4k people in Sussex who give a shit would be a good start. There is a reason why there isn't more, some might not like that fact but it doesn't make it less of a fact and 24/7 gaslighting of fans isn't going to change that.

A poster above suggesting for this to happen 5-10% of the mens revenue should go to the women's team is probably correct. Thankfully that isn't going to happen because we have some grown ups in charge.
What do you mean by gas lighting fans?

The question was

What would it take for Albion to become true challengers in the WSL?

You replied to a question 'Are you interested in women's football ?'

For some reason I'm reluctant to go to bed. So I find myself seeing how many times you repeated the words 'fishing' and 'darts'. It was eight, and to my disappointment they were both used equally.

Absolutely right.

The prices Arsenal charge to get in are comparative to non-league football, in a city of 9 million people.

I can't see how the Albion WSL team is going to challenge the top clubs unless Bloom starts ploughing ridiculous amounts of investment into it, and even then is the demand really there to get regular, sustainable big crowds into the Amex? The team is 5th in the league already, would finishing 1st or 2nd really bring in another 20,000 people every week? I'd be surprised if there are 20,000 football fans sat at home in Sussex thinking "I'll go regularly when they get three places higher in the table".

I do agree, but I think when the ladies get back to Sussex, there will inevitably be an increase in gates before it levels out.

I think if we can stay in the top league and remain competitive, we’re doing well.

I’ll probably go now and again, but I will never be as invested as I am in the men’s team, who knows I might even relax and enjoy watching!!

In terms of what it takes probably more investment than it currently warrants IMO.

Definitely a supporter, but semi-armchair….
