Its obscene to think that our multi multi multi millionaire is trumped by 212 even richer people and thats just the UK. (if there is any truth in this)

While I admire their hard work etc, some of these wealths are unbelievable. No one needs this much money.

I absolutely agree with this, however I am more than happy to allow my strongly held principles to skulk into the background with regard to his support of our club.

I can guarantee that TB wouldn't know, it would change so much weekly, daily and hourly to such an extent. He could probably take an educated guess, give or take 20%.

In fact, if you have one or more properties, a few accounts, pension schemes and some investments, I suspect it would probably take you the rest of the day to try and figure out your own.

But the Sunday Times has to find something to do with with it's trainees, so they phone people who want to be on the list and ask, publish whatever they are told (which is usually exaggerated because they want to be on the list) and guess the rest. If all else fails, stick/remove a few quid from last years
Hmm okay. Sure.

Billionaire maths genius doesn't bother to keep track of numbers with a tolerance of inaccuracy of +/- 20%.

I can categorically state that family offices - will know on a monthly basis + or - 1-3% where they are. He knows for sure.

As I have always said on here if you can spaff £400m on us then you must be comfortably worth, in paper terms at least, £1.5-2bln. Even accounting for his love of the Albion it would be a monumental risk, for a man in the business of quantifying the risk of an investment at any given time on any given event, to allocate more than 20-25% of his net worth to this.

Huge amount of guesswork in the numbers - so much if the wealth of many of those listed is not in the public domain, wrapped up in complex structures, held offshore and/or difficult to value.
Which makes the whole thing even MORE ridiculous. Not only are people getting info that has fack all to do with them, it's FALSE info that is fack all to do with them! :lolol:

I have reason to believe he has recently returned, YET AGAIN

Bit like syphilis, so I understand.
But, but, I thought we were all antisemitic on here - he mentioned in an Argus comment. Why would he rejoin ? ;)

There is no doubt that TB is worth a few £B. The few people I know and have known who are worth a even few million don't know on a regular basis. Even most businesses I have been involved with only have monthly, quarterly overviews and, once a year, a stab at an annual position and a lot of these were regulated.

If he has to fully staff that Family office with enough specialists in order to recalculate all of his properties, businesses, holdings and investments and various other interests on a monthly basis in order to give TB a figure, maybe he's worth even more than a few £B

Even huge corporations annual accounts are out of date by the time they finish calculating them. These figure can change significantly by the hour.

No, you're not. I genuinely have no idea what/who you lot are talking about
Just seen your location so quite understandable. There was a member of the board that claimed to be the "richest" member and that off the back of Terresa May's disastrous budget had been able hire extra staff  Anyway, when the Israel vs Hamas war kicked off there was, understandably, a thread about it. A number of people, including myself, questioned Israel's over heavy handed response. Apparently that made us, and by connection the whole of NSC, antisemitic. He mentioned this in the comments section on the local paper website. He then flounced from here and was duly elected as the Tory candidate for Westdene & Hove Park. I won't name him but he is not the first Tory candidate on here to flounce

Out of interest, how much do you think that figure changes by the hour ?
We're paying Paul Barber too much if he's worth a few BILLION !

Plus:
UK properties - the Sunday Times haven't bought 10m's Land Registry searches, then valued residential and commercial properties.
The open market value of unlisted companies could only be known with access to confidential P&L's to ascertain inherent goodwill.
