Great song. I was a big fan of Suede, Bernard Butler and David McAlmont back in the day.

Still the best thing I've seen on Later. Also, I'd argue one of the most criminally underrated vocalists there is. The album he did with Michael Nyman was something else.

Saw them at Concord 2 back in the day, suffice to say they were very very good.
I saw David McAlmont at the Garage in Highbury and Islington, didn’t have Butler with him though. Incredible voice.

I had his first S/T album, from before he teamed up with Bernard Butler.

It was a ltd edition with a couple of bonus tracks, one of which - the liner notes said - they’d gone up onto the roof of the studio at dawn, after a long night mixing and recording, and as the sun rose over London he’d just acapella sung something in one take, and they’d included it as a bonus. Lovely.
