Really pleased with that. Over the season Sheffield Utd and Sunderland were clearly better than the other two, in addition Coventry spent a shedload of money on expensive players (the Gyokeres fee used wisely). Plus bringing in Lampard felt like a Massive or Derby-esque big push for glory to usurp the pack.

Something very dislikable about Wilder
The assistant referees will have to seriously consider their post-match bread-based snack choices if that man becomes a Premier League manager again.

Chris Wilder has to be the least popular ex-Albion player with anything approaching a currently high profile.

A dreary Yorkshire bore.

He cant have played more than a handful of games? He went back up North pretty sharpish from Memory

*edit - 11 games

Seem to recall him scoring a free kick against Brighton when he was at Halifax on his return

If I remember rightly, he is the player nearest to Zamora when he scored "that goal" v Halifax at Withdean....I think he should have been marking him ... might be wrong, and have to revisit that goal again.... Edit : Just found it on YouTube.... he is the nearest player to Zamora, trailing in his wake ....

Prior to the semis, I wanted a Villa v Forest FA Cup Final .... so we have a Palace v City Final (which is enough to make me not watch it). I wanted a Bristol City v Coventry City playoff Final. Instead we have the bloody Mackams v Sheffield Utd. (Im a Geordie originally, so thats enough to make me not watch that either). I sort of wanted an Arsenal v Barca CL Final... dont like PSG at all, and am not fond of Inter.... and I definitely wanted a Bilbao v Bodo Glimt Europa league Final instead of the Mank v Spurs "get out of jail free card" final that we have.
Last month, I have been the anti-Midas of semi finals. That is a quite astonishing zero out of 8 possible finalists :)

And what an atmosphere! I was in the family stand and was completely blown away by, well, all of us! Took my voice a week or two to recover, my football feelings took a little longer....
Amazing night, but I'll never get over our luck in the first leg. Going into it with Dunk, Stephens and Zamora, then losing Goldson and Hemed in the first half, then losing Sidwell and Knockaert and ending up with 10 men. It was so bad, even Richie Towell got on the pitch (unbelievable he was here for 4 years and that was his only appearance!)

So, obviously you want Palace to win the FA Cup? ;)

Cucurella – and possibly Caicedo – would like a word...
