How lovely, you can sit in your wood-fired hot tub and be stared at by all the dog walkers on the path over the back fence.

We've got friends who have a house on Shoreham Beach with a beautiful garden but exactly that problem when we sit out there. It's got to the point where I feel I have leave my thong on. Give me a bit of privacy every time

When I see the adverts all I can think about is the running costs (utility bills, maintenance etc) and how far away it is from my family and friends. Or is the idea to use it as a second home?
I'm sure it's a very nice house, but I wouldn't want it - just give me the cash equivalent, please.

You get the property plus £100k, which would keep the property running for a time. Something like 70% are sold - which is easier said than done, given the high price point and very small market of buyers.

These big detached houses in the middle of nowhere are notoriously hard to shift, compared to say, the London townhouses they sometimes have which usually go above market value.

Property investors won’t touch them because the value is at a maximum due to the expensive furnishings they’re paying a huge mark up on, and difficulty in finding tenants. They are very high risk.

Nobody who is paying to enter a lottery like Omaze will be using a multi-million pound house won as a second home, as people who play the lottery aren’t already extremely rich. Most sell or rent (or try to) and then get their own, more manageable property close to home with the funds.

There is no such place as East Angmering Beach.
So? It's on the beach exactly where I said. What is it with everybody on here being so pedantic?! Preston Beach, East Preston Beach. Call it what you like however nearly everyone knows the area I mean.

It's where you said it was, however your location name was very wide of the mark.
