I feel a bit like this as well. If it wasn't for the Albion European issue, there is a small part of me that would think 'go and stick it to the corrupt, oil-rich wankers who have ruined football, you are a proper club and they aren't. Go and win it for football'.

If it was any other club outside the top 6 than Palace I would feel like that.

It's not just our potential European place being taken though, I don't want them to play in the Europa League. We have that over them, and I don't want that to change.
THIS!

Get the sentiment entirely, and for any other club I'd agree.

But not for Palace. That's just un-natural.

Come on Citeh.

Exactly this!! Do you think ANY of that lot would want us to win this match? Would they f***!!!! I'm actually cool with that, it's what it should be like.

I've been playing Oasis on 24/7 repeat since Monday.

It's not the Europe issue for me. I am a supporter of BHAFC and have been for getting on for 60 years. I have never wanted palace to win any match, in any competition, whatever the opposition.......... EVER. That is never going to change.
I bet you did when they won at Cardiff in CH’s final season….relegation for us was pretty nailed on if they hadn’t. Or would you rather have cut your nose off to spite your face?

Oh. My. Days.
Oh poo off.😝

In all “my days “ on NSC I have never started a WU or attention seeking, deliberately baiting thread like this one purely in the hope it would upset people. Nor have I argued that as a Club we should aim lower not higher for the fun of pissing people off.

I admit this has pushed my buttons but ffs, when Brighton ”fans” start threads wishing Palace ‘good luck’ in the hope they win silver ( Palace ffs!) or because they don’t want us to get into Europe, there is so much wrong with that POV and the OP knows it, so this thread is deliberately designed to attract attention and nothing more.

Well thread and Op now going on ignore ( which is what I should have done in the first place

Similar but not 100% of the time.

There was that one time under Hughton when they went to Colins Cardiff in 2019 and we were both battling to finish 4th bottom a few games before seasons end

It was a totally weird sensation to cheer a Palace goal 🤮, especially one from that rancid diving cheat :wanker:

Desperate times called for desperate measures...... They won 3-2, and as soon as Colin officially got 0 points, I forgave myself and tried to put the horrific experience behind me.

Thread going on ignore :bigwave:

Bit harsh to put OP on ignore for a head-mental rush of blood to the head

I wouldn't let the OP wind me up. I read it and thought

"these are not a Brighton fan, its palace. He'll be banned before the day is done" :lolol:

I do think people need to calm down a bit, there is awful lot of gnashing and wailing and lashing out at people over the mere thought that Palace might win the Cup. What the hell are you all going to be like when they actually do win the Cup - I'll hate to see it

And they will win the Cup. This is Palace's third crack at the final. They are a good side playing well, and City are a disjointed team not playing well.

We can enjoy it if the don't, but if they do, lets learn how to take it in our stride. Remember, a good rivalry is NOT one-sided.

In the interests of good sports and goodwill.
In the interest of sports and goodwill, I wish them and enjoyable trip to Wembley and an efficient trip home where the trains are on time. All health and happiness to them after a 4-0 thumping.

This doesn't sit well with your love for Surrey CCC
