That was good, the first 40 mins were gripping.
And he has a pretty rewarding job now. Hope his critics can say the sameWas very interesting to learn more about Charlie’s early life and family. Shame how it ended for him here but pleased he was able to move forward and experience so much helping Gus.
These are a good articleTwo hour YouTube videos are not really my cup of tea but this is a really good read and won’t take you long. He’s had a lot of friends helping him along the way in football which says to me he can’t be a bad bloke https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...prison-barcelona-extraordinary-tales-26177920
So was “101 Greatest Handjobs” on Pornhub. That was good, the first 40 mins were gripping.
I will plead innocence in my best Bill Clinton voice “ I did not knock one out over Charlie Oatway” but unlike Bill I’m innocentSo was “101 Greatest Handjobs” on Pornhub.
I don’t think it is necessarily a matter of snobbery. You either found it interesting or not, which is fine. The snobbery on here to a very working class bloke turning his life around while daring to be a bit of a character is quite something. It's almost like people have forgotten what the Withdean years were like, the success of the club was completely reliant on the team spirit. A lot of his Albion tales are exactly the same as private schoolboy Adam Virgo did on the same show, and I didn't see people calling him an overweight dinosaur the other week.
Anyway, I really enjoyed. Thanks for sharing. Great that the bloke is so grateful to Dick Knight and Gus for what he's been lucky enough to experience.
Well several comments on this thread are about his weight or his banter.I don’t think it is necessarily a matter of snobbery. You either found it interesting or not, which is fine.
I think you are trying to pay him a compliment that is not warranted. Watch the video. What’s YM?
He’s very busy, and doing a great job with the RMA (Russell Martin Academy), in fact he’s probably in a Catch 22 situation, when Russell gets another job, sooner rather than later, does he get Charlie in to work with the U23s at the respective club or keep him doing his excellent work down in Southwick?
In fairness, I think that's what most people want to hear about.Charlie was great at the Albion - as a player and a coach.
Got to know him when he was at AITC. He's a genuinely lovely bloke who always goes out of his way to help.
As for Undr The Cosh podcasts - they're fascinating but the majority of the guests are finished with the game, and if they're not now, they soon will be. Lots of mud slinging etc.
Still doesn’t make it about snobbery though.Well several comments on this thread are about his weight or his banter.
And what a fantastic group that was! Way way greater than the sum of its partsAs a player, Charlie was a key signing and a lot of our success at Withdean was based on him, Dodge and that group. He was unlucky to be caught in the middle of the wreckage of the Gus regime.
Are you sure you didn't misread the situation and he wanted to STROKE your beautiful face? I mean you gave him two coquettish glances...Once glared at me out of his car window and flared his eyes as if he wanted to punch my beautiful face after I'd had the temerity to take a second glance his way.
Definitely a CHARACTER.
