The key point being that "at present" out squad isn't ready. And if we bring in another 5 players and get a few back from Loan?
Would you be moaning about the squad pre transfer window if we were in Europa or Champs League?

On the way to a European trophy ....................... yes.Well we want a trophy don’t we? And that’s a trophy is it not.
I appreciated that Noahs ark or the mighty Petrol club or New Saints aren’t in it, but it can’t be those level of glamour games every week can it!
Imagine playing at home to the 5th best team in Armenia. It’s what dreams are made of really!
Hoping for better is one thing (it's called ambition) - but pooh-poohing the Conference because it's a mickey-mouse tournament beneath us ........ now that's entitlement!View attachment 201366As the comment under the Tony Bloom comment rightly says, those of us who have been saying we wanted better have been accused of being entitled. Nice to know my views are aligned with our owner.
Nobody? Huge exaggeration! About 1 in 10 have some sort of beef against playing in Europe unless it's in a competition they deem good enough for the Albion. The rest of us? Go for it!Because it jeopardises the chances of use staying in the PL and domestic cups, all of which are 10 * as important
as some poxy, bollox Europa cup that nobody really respects. That's why.
Couldn’t agree more. Mind boggling that some of our fans done want us in the competition .Hoping for better is one thing (it's called ambition) - but pooh-poohing the Conference because it's a mickey-mouse tournament beneath us ........ now that's entitlement!
How do we get the players and club experience playing in Europe and the league without ever doing it? You expect to just jump to being able to perform in the EPL and the champions League? We say our players are young and inexperienced....well this gives them experience. It will increase the probability that we perform well in the future and attract players.Because it jeopardises the chances of use staying in the PL and domestic cups, all of which are 10 * as important
as some poxy, bollox Europa cup that nobody really respects. That's why.

Same sentiments as you. But on the other hand, I am damned sure that I I don't want to finish 8th, only for Palace to win the FA Cup and nick our place in Europe. Bragging rights forever.I know I might be going against the grain but I would not be unhappy if we didn’t come 8th and play in the Mickey Mouse Europe league
Don’t have the distraction of mid week games and aim for top 6 next season
Those bragging rights would last exactly as long, if we finished 9th or lower.Same sentiments as you. But on the other hand, I am damned sure that I I don't want to finish 8th, only for Palace to win the FA Cup and nick our place in Europe. Bragging rights forever.
Then you aren't a true fan. Imagine just wanting mid table every season and not having a chance at winning something. Weird. No evidence. But would you like to put our "injury-prone" squad through 5-10 more games than most other
PL clubs? We struggle as it is. I don't and for some meaningless "money making" tinpot cups scheme by UEFA
I don't want to risk it.
Except that yours seems to have made up its mind, based on no evidence at all.No better or worse than yours.
Better that than relegation. Then you aren't a true fan. Imagine just wanting mid table every season and not having a chance at winning something. Weird.
I don't believe you actually feel like this.Better that than relegation.
I haven't ever said that I wouldn't like us to win the FA cup or the Carabao Cup or whatever. My issueI don't believe you actually feel like this.
And neither of us has evidence one way or the other, in fairness.Except that yours seems to have made up its mind, based on no evidence at all.
After your good luck to Palace in the FA Cup final thread, now this! I don’t actually believe you are a Brighton fan at allI haven't ever said that I wouldn't like us to win the FA cup or the Carabao Cup or whatever. My issue
is with an extra euro (what I see as an insignificant cup) cup that costs us 5 or 6 more games for what? More injuries?
