Well we want a trophy don’t we? And that’s a trophy is it not.

I appreciated that Noahs ark or the mighty Petrol club or New Saints aren’t in it, but it can’t be those level of glamour games every week can it!

Imagine playing at home to the 5th best team in Armenia. It’s what dreams are made of really!
On the way to a European trophy ....................... yes.

View attachment 201366As the comment under the Tony Bloom comment rightly says, those of us who have been saying we wanted better have been accused of being entitled. Nice to know my views are aligned with our owner.
Hoping for better is one thing (it's called ambition) - but pooh-poohing the Conference because it's a mickey-mouse tournament beneath us ........ now that's entitlement!

Because it jeopardises the chances of use staying in the PL and domestic cups, all of which are 10 * as important
as some poxy, bollox Europa cup that nobody really respects. That's why.
Nobody? Huge exaggeration! About 1 in 10 have some sort of beef against playing in Europe unless it's in a competition they deem good enough for the Albion. The rest of us? Go for it!

How do we get the players and club experience playing in Europe and the league without ever doing it? You expect to just jump to being able to perform in the EPL and the champions League? We say our players are young and inexperienced....well this gives them experience. It will increase the probability that we perform well in the future and attract players.
Add onto that he extra revenue and sponsorship and you must be actively against the club to not want to qualify.

In over 100 years we’ve reached one FA Cup Final and three semi finals.

In over sixty years we’ve never progressed further than the quarter finals of the league cup.

I look forward to us not qualifying for Europe next season and another couple of quarter final exits from the “10* as important” domestic cups.

I know I might be going against the grain but I would not be unhappy if we didn’t come 8th and play in the Mickey Mouse Europe league

Don’t have the distraction of mid week games and aim for top 6 next season
Same sentiments as you. But on the other hand, I am damned sure that I I don't want to finish 8th, only for Palace to win the FA Cup and nick our place in Europe. Bragging rights forever.
