It's the weirdest youtube channel going.

They interview people who, frankly, you wouldn't have a clue who they were if they didn't play for your club.

"We are interviewing ex Carlisle, Orient and Scunthorpe Striker Leon Chester"

And then the interview is often as such:

"Yeah, y'know what right. It was just proppa banta in those days right? Like, you could say stuff n it was good. Proppa men. Got a problem? We'd sort it aat on the trainin pitch. I remember this one time right, Dave Cutterridge was mugging off Big Billy Phillips. Now you know what Big Bill's like, right. He's takin no shit off some muggy new kid. Apparently he watches the news, Dave. The lads would call him Davina after Davina McHutten off Carlisle's local news, which was Funny. So this kids megged him and Bill's grabbed him by the throat and said 'if you ever do that again I'll kill your dog'. "

From the bits I've seen of them, those videos tend to be longer, drawn out and less funny versions of the very funny Josh Pugh character when he's talking about 'the Gaffer'.

It is very much like that…..but I still like listening to the interviews.

The Glen Little interview is really funny.

A big part of the Withdean years but not really all that surprising that the club decided Charlie was not going to fit in with the future of the club. Imagine how staff and players now would react to some of his behaviour.

Some of his stories are funny but some just make you cringe. He comes across as a bit of a dinosaur but good luck to him. He had quite a career as a player and coach, helped no end by Gus in the latter years.

Ah; the ravages of time… and SHIT diet…

He reminds me of this bloke who used drink down our local when we were young, and then eat about 5 curries in the Indian round the corner… we were in there one night and he started on us all for being posh wankers… quaffing champagne as we were… (oh the sheer nobility of our collective wit) he said, whilst looking at me like a huge pile of cement with eyes, “Me and you boy, we’re going to f***ing fall out…”

Needless to say, the only falling out was me, out of the Indian as fast as my Bollinger filled legs could carry me.

He was a massive SHIT, he was called Biff… he drove a taxi.

People seem to support him , find him amusing but I thought it sad to see a sportsman let himself go like that

It's incredibly common.

Most of us have to watch our weight from our early 20s, as we are allowed to drink what we want and eat what we want. It forces (most of) us to get into good habits.

Footballers, or sportsmen, don't have the same experience. They are usually disciplined with their diets and seldom drink, while doing physical training every day, maintaining an elite weight.

...then retirement comes. Alcohol, sometimes drugs, becomes an option. Great restaurant foods, with none of the exercise. It's not surprising why so many of them balloon after retirement.

I'm sure many of them don't care either - as they're just looking to enjoy the life that they couldn't when they were pros.

I bump into Charlie sometimes in the pub. He seems happy. I don't think you need to feel sorry for him, even if he is old and fat now.

Looks like he must have had a bit of a cold that day with amount of times he kept touching his nose, thought it was Zelensky at times but worth a watch

Good for him and seems to a lot of good work I found it very cringy and would be interesting to hear Adams version about some stories.
Considering how long he has spent on training grounds since he stopped playing am amazed how weighty he is now and looks not great for health if he gets much heavier
