It’s nearly here and I’m bloody excited by this year’s offerings.

Post the bands you’re most excited about listening to here.

The Alternative Escape also offers up some treats. I see that Canned Pineapple kicking off tonight at The Bootlegger. Well worth seeing.

The the music begin. (Ignore the names you know, go for the sounds you like.)

Will try for Westside Cowboy and Shooting Daggers tonight. Lots of clashes tomorrow already but will start at Horatios for the first two, then Sex Mask mid afternoon and Oreglo, Elinborg, Konyikeh and Man/Woman/Chainsaw in the evening.

Hyped.

Tough one this evening was looking at Patterns but I may now flit between the Albert and Hope this evening, Blanket, mercury and Shooting Daggers seem to be enough to make me base myself at the Albert this evening

Going to try and catch Holiday Ghosts, Traams, Abdomen and Heavy Lungs at Patterns tonight, then see if anything else is still on tonight. Will hopefully manage to catch Water Machine tomorrow at 12 at Horatios, and then its a toss up of about 5 different clashes until Westside Cowboy in Pagnini Ballroom, then again a load of clashes until preoccupations in the hope and ruin.

We will try to get in for Holiday Ghosts and Traams at Patterns this evening. Then…we’ll see.

I’m at work tomorrow, so starting at 7.15 with Joshua Idehen. Then, probably, Brogeal, The Orchestra (For Now), Westside Cowboy, Man/Woman/Chainsaw.

Lots of clashes on Friday, but I’ll get into Chalk quite early - not missing The Moonlandingz.

Saturday is all about Daltons, The Beach and Horatios.

Just bought super early bird tickets for next year - £65. 🙂

We're going for the first time - any tips on the best venues?
We tend to stay near (or on) the beach - so many of the venues are nearby.

If you’re going just on venues, the beach area is fun to spend time at in the sunshine, with three stages - though the tented ones are a bit soulless.

Paganini ballroom is interesting…worth a visit.

Horatios is indeed great fun - we saw Kneecap there last year, on Saturday afternoon, incongruously brilliant.

All the venues near The Tempest are good.

The Old Market, though lovely, is a bit out of the way.

We always take our bikes - saves so much time moving between the venues.

Damn and blast. I got that alert for the £65 tickets and assumed that they were for this years festival and they were on sale as they wanted to off load the last few.

Definitely recommend The New Eves.

The amount of free gigs increases every year. It's incredible. Feels like it might be more than the official event now?

Anyone have any free gig recommendations for anything a bit different?
