Trump is all for MAGA unless it’s a luxury upgrade to Airforce One:

Boeing, had been contracted to provide the White House with 2 newer planes but now Trump in discussions to get a ‘flying palace‘ from Qatar instead because Boeing are behind schedule.

Apparently accepting a ‘gift‘ from a Country with a record of human rights abuses on migrant workers (and the obvious security issues to using a jet gifted by a Country that harbours a group that the US designates as ’terrorists’) is preferable to honouring contracts to American companies when it comes to Trump’s obsession with gold-plated interiors.

The man really has no moral compass whatsoever:

I can't see this is a 'bad thing' really?
I don't know, if I'm honest (and I must admit I'm struggling to read and understand that world salad) but wasn't he responsible for putting up the cost of some medication (for example Insulin) when he was in post the first time?

I'm sure he's not doing purely out of the goodness of his heart, though. There will be something in it for him – maybe not another jet from Qatar, but some kind of kickback or benefit to Trump Org.

It is unbelievable that the President is even allowed to accept the gift of a $400 million jet from a foreign country.

He genuinely doesn't seem to understand the importance of not being in thrall to other nations, of being seen to be whiter than white and incorruptible. Whatever vestiges of occupying the moral high ground he possessed have surely gone. He is a grifter down to his core.

It is yet another sign that America's role as leader of the free world is disappearing before our eyes.

for start there's the dictatorial aspect, making up purchase rules on the wing (certainly has no authority to do this). then there's the commercial impacts, can a drug viably be sold in US at globally low price? more significantly, would can a drug be viably sold in developing nations at US accepted price, no more subsidies to those markets. he could ask congress to change rules that protect groups of drugs from normal market competition, but we have this grandstanding instead.

The President isn't 'allowed' to accept such a gift - it's against the constitution unless approved by Congress. But when has not being allowed stopped Trump?

Removal?
Sacked for being trans?
Does that mean they are banned from working for anything governmental?
Does this not allow any other employer to ban them on the 'good for the goose, good for the gander' principle?
Once they are banned from being employed, shouldn't they be publicly labeled so nobody mistakenly employs them?
How about making them wear something identifiable on their clothing?
Something like this:

Reported on BBC this morning (R4 - Today) that Trump could keep the "gift" for his Presidential Library when he eventually leaves office which would mean he could continue to use it whenever he likes.

Apparently this trip is ONLY about making deals and getting money. He isn't intending to discuss any peace deals in the ME. Not interested. Money means more to Trump than lives. And this at a time when the UN is stating that Israel's blockade of food in Gaza is contrary to International Law.

Yep and his recent moves to expedite a refugee plan of (rather questionably ‘persecuted’ imo) White South Africans to the US coincides withSouth Africa taking Israel to the ICJ for genocide in the Gazan Strip - which of course, if judgment of the International Court upholds South Africa’s petition, directly interferes with his plans to develop Trump Plaza Gaza after the land is ‘cleared’.

Nothing Trump does is non-transactional or altruistic.

He clearly stated last night in his PC that he wouldn't be using, or keeping, it after his term ends....but we all know that what he says and what he does are two completely different things. I fully expect him to be globetrotting on it full time once he leaves the WH, until his dying day.

I think that is just manufactured virtue signalling from Trump to impress/influence his MAGA base.

Making immigrant ‘criminals’ synonymous with the most dangerous criminals in history and the most notorious prison where they were incarcerated.

Making Alcatraz up to code and subsequent running overheads of the island facility will cost an extortionate amount of money (more than building several new prisons on the mainland). It is an international tourist centre and rakes in millions of dollars as a museum.

This was all about Trump’s petulant reaction to lawmakers who are pushing back on his unlawful deportation orders of undocumented migrants to prisons in Central America.

The idea of reopening Alcatraz is absurd.

At this stage, none of this should come as a surprise to anyone!

Imagine being so corrupt that even your staunchest follower, and head loon, takes issue with what you're doing....

Laura Loomer, a conservative activist and Trump supporter, wrote in a Sunday X post: "I love President Trump. I would take a bullet for him. But, I have to call a spade a spade. We cannot accept a $400 million 'gift' from jihadists in suits. The Qataris fund the same Iranian proxies in Hamas and Hezbollah who have murdered US Service Members. The same proxies that have worked with the Mexican cartels to get jihadists across our border. This is really going to be such a stain on the admin if this is true. And I say that as someone who would take a bullet for Trump. I'm so disappointed."
