Eastbound should be clear by Weds morning apparently
This is fantastic news as i was under the impression this was going into to June, the only downside i can find is driving westbound today you could see the work that was done but there’s still the section upto the A23 Junction that looks a mess and you just know they will be back!!

…but it can’t be as people on here said nobody was working there.
Well you wouldn’t have thought so, the below is a generous graphic of the section of barriers that they have replaced and grass and weeds removed which resulted in 4 weeks of closures ffs

I could be wrong but I thought I read an announcement which stated they were finishing the main works 6 weeks ahead of schedule, the remaining works will be completed by overnight closures.

Mmm the overnight closures were always in place, what caused the problems were the two permanent 24 hour lane closures one on each carriageway, they should have got on and done the work at night and reopened during the day

There was a noticeable decrease of traffic in town today. I didn't realise a lane had reopened & wondered why it was 'quiet' (normal).
I can confirm that I saw 3 work persons when I last went through there, which was Sunday 27th April (afternoon) & they looked like they were doing something. (y)

Yes, I’m aware of that having had to queue through it on multiple occasions, I was just sharing that due to being ahead of schedule they were now going to complete the works at night, which we all know should have been the strategy from the start.
