[Albion] How the hell does MOTD rate Citeh's 0-0 draw over us v. Wolves?

Bournemouth’s manager says it was Mings.

That's weird. He was definitely affected worse by the second elbow.
Maybe the manger is conflating what looked like a more deliberate elbow,
with what must have been the more injurious elbow.
He couldn't possible know what happened unless he had a real-time long-range scanning X-ray device,
and even then, if he knew the first whack did the crack, why did he not sub off the lad?

People do talk bollocks. Especially managers of damaged players.

Edit - Mings elbow, 6th minute. Onana elbow towards half time. Scott subbed off at half time.

Apologies if I seem a bit sneering, but I still can't forget the 3-3 draw against Brentford where one poster in here complained that Brentford had received far more coverage than us. I went back and took a look and the footage showed their three goals and nothing else ! :ROFLMAO:

Exactly! They didn't even show our goals.

Because villa's win in the first game meant that city dropping points was pretty huge in the race for CL football. They could very well miss out. It also was completely unexpected and meant Soton didn't set a joint PL record.

Without knowing the result, if I was neutral, the result of that game would interest me more than whether a safe Wolves could halt Brighton trying to be 9th or whatever.

It's a no brainer.

I do feel that we get a little too upset and needy about MOTD sometimes. The same when they don't say enough nice things about us.
Especially as we get spoken about SO MUCH. Honestly we are raved about as a club on Sky, Talksport, 5Live (Monday Night Club especially)

I'd be SICK of it if I didn't think it was so brilliant :lolol:

MOTD doesn't only rank games on number of goals scored. In this case it would probably have been because City were fighting for a top four spot.

It was so funny. I counted the amount of Albion chances shown (9) and the Brentford chances were just their goals. If anything, they should be getting flustered over their coverage !

Given your description, maybe the complaint was sarcastic

It was good at first, but nowadays all this 'well run club top to bottom, an example to all' passes me by. It's moved from praise that gives me a glow to some kind gooey sycophantic creepiness. I don't bother with TalkSport anymore, but I quite liked it when Simon Jordan used to bring it down a peg. It's tooo much.

So we could all enjoy the whinging arrogant City player who didn't like that Southampton didn't just roll over for City?

BTW, anyone who doesn't want Ramsdale as a Bart replacement if he leaves needs to watch this game.
Without Ramsdale, their woeful goal difference would be far far far far worse!

Agreed. Especially as ours was a 'nothing' game between two of the also-rans. Yes, that's slightly unfair as one of them (us) does have an outside chance of squeaking into the 3rd ranked Euro competition, but I'd still have put the Southampton game ahead of us in terms of importance.

If Southampton had played the Rust way instead of the Martin way all season they may have been in with a shout of staying up or at least gone down fighting with more points.

I would not be critical of City going on before us because loads of goal mouth action City could have had 5/6 in 5 minutes viewing. What was mad was the praise to Southampton. There was no tactical genius going on. A one off game and playing that again 9 out of 10 they would be thrashed.

Surely whoever is on first or last should be dictated by the quality of the football above all, not whether it might mean a club gets the least points or most points because all tyhe viewrs know the answer before the start of the programme.
