Good to know we're not the only family that has trouble finding competent tradesmen.
(PS I bet he doesn't recover from his coma 😉)
That's supply and demand at work. The good tradesmen are all in work and are not available.

I regard it as fortunate that we are even aware of this incident. There's been a security clampdown, and Ukraine were right to stay away.

The contortions that Russia makes to justify its refusal to agree a ceasefire:

Here it claims Ukraine would be at an advantage in a ceasefire because it receives weapons. Russia thinks this gives an uneven playing field, even though Russia receives arms from Iran and North Korea. But it would be a ceasefire. You don't need weapons in a ceasefire.

But the good news is twofold:

1. Russia is complaining about the results of its own invasion. (y)
2. Russia thinks Ukraine is at an advantage. (y)

So Trump and Vance must now realise that Russia has no interest in ceasefires or ending the war. As Zelensky has been telling them all along.

And of course a cease fire only means no firing at each other.

It doesn't mean Russia dials down its own massive weapons production or stockpiling. 1400 Iskander ballistic missiles per year i read 😲

They still try and set conditions for a more defenseless, easier to Subjugate Ukraine.

This has some important messages: Chinese troops march in Red Square, North Korean 'generals' attend, Vietnam and Egypt (as well as the usual suspects) send delegations.
It may be shaky, but the Russian, Chinese, N Korean military alliance is real.
Make no mistake, Europe, you have your work cut out.

I think china attends because NK attends. China won’t want Russia playing silly buggers with NK. It’s also a case of keeping an eye on Putin.

Or maybe China are pretending to help Russia look strong, but next year they'll send 100,000 troops for the parade, and then they'll take over Moscow without a shot fired

This is what they have been saying since the ceasefire was first put forward. They can carry on supplying their front line but Ukraine had to stop everything. No new weapons, no recruitment, no training. They are just stalling and Trump and Vance still think they are seriously interested in peace. No they bloody well aren't.

OMG... I'm laughing because it's just so effing stupid, of the whole Trump Administration, not just Witless. No insistence from someone (Rubio, Waltz, Kellogg, ??? Trump even 🤣🤣🤣).
Stupid? or yet another sign of being pro Russian??🤷🏼‍♂️
It’s just incompetence, the guy has never done this stuff before but probably acts like he’s the expert. In an administration like Trump’s, it’s unlikely people will be busting a gut to protect each other.

I have to ask the question, given the level of ineptitude.

Who was responsible for recording the conversation, taking the minutes, and producing the transcript? Was that also the Kremlin?

I'm beginning to see how the Trump administration could have ended up giving Russia so many concessions, without Russia needing to give any concessions in return.

Why should we expect anything else? The whole administration is clueless.
Well, I knew they were clueless, but I didn't realise they were totally, absolutely, freaking clueless.

I remember saying the same sort of thing about Liz Truss. You knew she was useless, but you didn't fully appreciate just how dangerous she was, due to a toxic mixture of arrogance and ignorance.
