Who remembers the sweet shop by the tunnel at the goldstone, it just occurred to me when really young 12, 13 14 cant remember used to walk from western road with a couple of friends to the ground in early 80s getting excited about getting lemon bon bons from that shop always an iconic place in my eyes from the good old goldstone days, and then after the game the eerie atmosphere of the tunnel not knowing who was who.
Mad memories and great memories.
All because of our beloved albion, without you I wouldn't of had a life.Cheers Bhax

Yes, it was there for donkey’s years (light blue annd white striped if I recall) almost opposite the Clark’s bakery shop on the corner of Newtown Road where I’d buy stale cakes after school. When the bakery was working it was the most wonderful smell.
Best sweet shop in the area was Bullens on a slope down from Ellen Street to Sackville Road. A wonderful selection of sweets - football bubble gum cards from the early 60s, as well as Bazooka Joe and The Beatles (sets are now worth a fortune).
