I think you might have missed my point in terms of getting shots away and crosses in. Other wingers, mitoma included, often run into dead ends and trouble.
Nope. Mitoma scores more and assists more than March. Not even close. No point getting crosses in if it hardly leads to a goal. I love March but his stats are woeful for a winger. Mitoma is on another level.

FAB also said Mitoma was fit to start last week when he wasn’t. Pinch of salt.
he did. But he also said that Igor, Veltman, Webster would return to the squad for Newcastle. And they did.
And i could also point you to pix of Mitoma training on the website from this morning if you want to feel positive about his return.
But ofc you can ignore what he says if you want :)

EDIT although the choice of Karou for this probably ruins it !!

I think you’re (slightly unfairly) judging Solly by his stats over his whole career, which for a huge chunk of it he was asked to play more like a full back than a winger (under Hughton and to a lesser degree Potter).

RDZ massively improved him in an attacking sense. I’m not saying his end product is better than Mitoma but I don’t think it’s far off. Fairer to judge him over his last couple of fit seasons, I think.

Solly’s last 2 fully fit seasons saw 7 goals in 64 Premier League games. All 7 came in the RDZ standout season.
Mitoma is at another level and does it every year while March has produced goals in one season of his career for a top winger.
Minteh has 6 in 29 appearances in his first season in the PL.
I love Solly but if you want goals and assists both Mitoma and Minteh are an upgrade. Defensive work is a different argument.

Solly's crossing is a level above both Minteh and Mitoma.
Only because he is experienced enough to look up and pick someone out.
Neither Minteh nor Mitoma have mastered this skill yet,

March 18 assists in 190 Pl appearances.
Mitoma 12 assists in 85 PL appearances.
Minteh 4 assists in 29 appearances.

That isn't a stat on the quality of crosses.

And neither is this

But it's way more relevant.

I can absolutely see Pedro putting in a very good performance against Liverpool.

He will enjoy the chance to be the returning saviour we all need.
