He is talking to his agent about his future at the Albion. Expect news in two months. I have it on good authority.

Feels like there's been very little fuss made about the player awards this year. Not seen much discussion on here or promotion by the club.

Maybe there's a thread going started by someone I have on ignore?

In any case, congrats to JP! It was always going to be between him and Carlos.

The way I see it with JPVH.

He has two years left. I have no doubt we will have offered him a deal to put him up with Dunky in terms of the club wage earners.

He, quite legitimately, is just seeing what happens this summer. It's quite possible that a CL club will come in and make a bid. Bloom will get every penny he can, but ultimately sanction the sale.

If there are no decent bids towards the end of the summer, there's a very good chance he'll sign a new deal with us.

I think the biggest factor that will determine what happens is the world cup. JPVH will be looking at the situation and trying to work out if he is better placed to get the starting Netherlands spot, if he is a regular player with us, or plays 50% of the time type player with someone in the CL. There are arguments both ways, but most likely he'll be thinking a CL club. And remember with that Netherlands central defensive position there is fierce competition for a spot. He won't get it if he's only back up to Konate or Ruben Dias or someone. A big decision for him and a big summer for us.

Agreed. I didnt even know it was on last night. Only noticed when I checked into Twitter / X about 10:15pm last night.
Side note: Was Joao Pedro there last night? I didn't see him featured on the feed on YouTube, neither any images on socials either. While our £10m Championship signing got a fair bit of coverage,

Thoroughly deserved double awards for JPVH.
So consistent this year and has stepped up as a real leader with Dunk missing so much.
His stats are very impressive too, but most of all I've just loved seeing his passion and how much it all means to him. If we'd had lost him for a long period to injury this season, I don't think we'd be in with a shout for Europe (still) with three games to go.

He's frequently the first player (and sometimes only player) to get really close to the away fans after a win/loss or draw and applaud for a prolonged period – and quite often the last off the pitch. Fans notice this and love him for it. Hopefully he is here for a few more years, as he's looking very much like the long-term captain replacement. There'll be strong interest surely though from UCL teams. Just hope we can break the POTS curse for once!

That was exactly what I was thinking. Didn’t see Joao there.
Could be for all sorts of reasons I guess. Neither was Fran Kirby but I put her absence down to the fact that she has had a bug and we don’t want it spread across the women’s and mens first team.

I’d love JPVH to stay. He clearly loves it here and is the natural successor to Dunk for the Captains spot. Reckon Tony will be getting his cheque book out ( again) to offer him the fattest contract we can.

Probably because they screwed up by trying to make it an ‘attendance only’ event with FBS performing afterwards but then had to bin that off because they sold hardly any tickets. They have, however, put a ton of clips on the website and other social media

Surprised Milner was not there - I saw him at Hickstead Starbucks on Wednesday morning and it looked like he was being driven to the training ground
