Also, I have an elderly relative who always answers the phone with their telephone number. I always used to pick up the phone as a kid and say “Balcombe 600”

I still use that quaint old word "Batsman" to describe the player holding the bat in Cricket. I keep hearing/reading them referred to as "Batters"!
To be fair, "batter" goes back to the 1700s (apparently, but even in the absence of an actual source for that it sounds like the sort of thing that people think are Americanisms but are actually just old words) https://www.cricket.co.uk/glossary/. If I had to guess I'd probably pick that as the older word than batsman.

More recently, there's that weird Steve Kirby sledge when he told somebody that he'd "seen better batters in my fridge", which must be from the 90s or very early 2000s. Edit: He said it to Atherton apparently https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/famous-sledger-steve-kirby-becomes-mcc-head-coach-995241
