We owe everything to Dick Knight.

Not taking anything away from what Tony Bloom has done/is doing - but without Dick Knight, none of it would be possible. There would be no Falmer Stadium, and in all likelihood, no BHAFC as we know it.

What he did was incredible. Not only did he keep the club alive on life-support, but this period was also the most successful in its history, in terms of silverware.

I really do think we should have, and would love to see, a statue of him at the Amex.

Hope the club put the segment on the website as many younger fans will not the awareness of them days
They should play it at home matches right before "it gets better, and better, and better". I'll be a blubbering wreck.

Totally deserved his reward. The great man stepped in when the club had been put on life support by those leeches in charge without him it would've died.

Whilst watching it I was expecting something at the end of the presentation to Dick that went along the lines of 'and we're going to call the new xxx, Dicks xxx'. Having his name over the counter in the north concourse just isn't enough.
I actually think having Dick Knight recognised where the heartbeat of the Albion support are is quite fitting personally. I think this more appropriate than a tucked away bland airport lounge

Aren’t there plans to refurbish the north stand concourse over the close season which will see a new bar area built? That will become Dicks Bar rather than just a kiosk as it is now.

Having his name live on via a club award is also a very fitting gesture to the great man.

A striding colossus of sport in Sussex.

The first time I saw Dick was at the fans meeting at Hove town hall. I'd been to a few such "what are we going to do" type meetings at the Concorde, but this was the first one which didn't make me feel worse than when I went in. At the time the situation was so desperate that my memory is that lots of Brighton fans were more interested in taking shots at each other than working out a way forward.

In strides Dick. He lays down a vision so compelling, the normally fractious fan base just sat there open mouthed. Then he passed the mic to the man on his left. Martin Perry just exuded competence and professionalism in the way the chancers before could never do. It was the perfect combination of a "vision" guy and a "how are we going to put this into practice" guy.

Finally after years of despair, factions, bickering, bad faith actors and just general chaos, finally, there was a leader, someone we could get behind, someone could could offer us a shot, even if a long shot, of salvation.

I've always been sad that Bloom and Knight had this bad blood. I guess once you've had the control and adulation Dick had, it's hard to give it up and I don't doubt he could be a difficult person. But both love the club and i'm delighted that this has been enough to bring them back to this point in the end

But naming a stand after him would not be appropriate. Great bit of humour from Dick!
