Can I vote for both as before the game , looking at the two sides, i would have gladly accepted a point but after the Gomez miss it feels like 2 points dropped.
I also need this option.

Less the Gomez miss though, more the free kick that shouldn't have been.

Before the game that is 1 point won and come tomorrow will see that too.

But when you concede in the 89th minute, it feels like 2 points dropped. We need to game manage better when ahead like this. It's where experience like Milner and Lallana would come on in previous seasons. We've not got them now or Gross etc. We're young but we will learn.

David Gilmour's armpit
Dozens of clubs can same exactly the same and yet have won stuff or done comparably better at a point in their time. Sorry, but your pov is a bit boring and factually isn’t true either. Probably too young to remember Mike Bamber I guess.
If you started watching in the 80's (as you claimed earlier), then you're too young to remember him.

I agree with what you said apart from ‘just about’ - as Carlos proved last week.
I think we are agreeing with each other tbh and arguing over semantics! ???

Neither of us thought “we had it in the bag” - at 89 mins, imo it is reasonable to say ‘just about’ ie with minutes to go and 1:0 up.

As I said, it is about game management at that stage, nothing more.

Last week I would have said WHU just about had it because we were a goal down as we went into added time.

Are you saying we've suddenly become a 'big club'? MASSIVE, even? :)
Complete with entitled fans embarrassing us and demanding we win stuff now. . . And if we don't we should start berating out players while they play.

Is Portlock in Yorkshire? Does he want to turn us into the new Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday?

The world has gone mad.

I went for 2 dropped, because within sight of the winning line we yet again make a rookie.

And it’s about time our fan base fecking expects more and drops the small club happy with winning best pie, fax machine and community tree planted mentality, and instead starts going APOPLECTIC at our players every time we do this each week! :rant:punish::guns::albion2:
Yeah, the problem is its only the the supporters that give a shit, the players couldn't care less if they win, lose or draw. I can almost hear the jokes and banter about Gomez' miss and Ayari's handball

I understand disappointment over the late goal (there was still 12 minutes afterwards tho!) but for me this well earned point will be as important as the flakey win against a rubbish team last week. I thought it was our best performance since the Man City draw - maybe we are getting some form back at last after a big wobble

Thought overall we played well. Pre game would have taken a point, and couldnt complain too much when that was the case. But overall I thought it was a decent performance, good effort & energy, against a team with some top players.

Stupidity from Ayari has probably cost us a few European vacations next season.
I just watched it again and there was no reason for him to so blatantly hand ball it like that. What was he thinking?! I would be furious if I was manager, the lad needs to be dropped.

Point earned. A very gutsy performance against a good side and their assistant with a whistle. Disappointing to concede the equaliser but the pressure was on for most of the match so overall I am very happy with that display from the team.

Lack of self-discipline (age related) combined with an instinctive reaction to stick your hand out under pressure? Who knows?

Absolutely should NOT be dropped.

One of the most promising young players in the squad who is excellent at ball recovery and has a great forward attacking attitude.

If our managers had ‘dropped’ every young player who made a stupid decision or error, we never would have made it out of Division 3!

I dunno, I've managed to support my football club from the depths of 91st in the football league, into divs 3,2,1 and top 10 in the premier league, and then into Europe - and done it without once going APOPLECTIC at our players.

So, yeah, you can achieve more without acting like a total asshole

He was. Quite harshly after his performance in the last game against West Ham.

If we miss out on Europe then there are plenty of situations that we can point to that cost us. Eg Wolves at Home, Leicester away.
Anyway I went point gained. The point that sees us get to our second highest points total in the Premier League with three games to go. Think we’ll need 7 points from these three to give us a chance.
