"As far as Brighton are concerned, but very quickly"

I wish MOTD would get away from analysing why the established clubs lost, rather than why the other won.

That said not as bad as Leicester Brighton game where neither the presenter or the analyst said the word "Brighton" once,

Fascinating. Well, that's putting it kindly.

I take it you're tired and have had a few.....either that or you're on a mission to overload the internet with.......whatever it is you're trying to overload it with. I recommend giving up, but that's up to you...................................

Nah, just a lighthearted response to your never ending love in for an ex player, long gone... and your incessant cantankerousness 😉

Japanese words are split into syllables with equal stress on each of them. The syllables in Kaoru are Ka-o-ru, pronounced “Ka” as in “carrots” “o” as in “hot” and “Ru as “rhubarb (but truncated)”. The hard bit is linking “ka” with “o” because it’s not natural to English speakers. And putting equal stress on all three isn’t easy either.
Good summary. Grinds my gears hearing all the English speakers in the squad call him KaROO. All the other language speakers pronounce his name properly.

I’m now questioning my own pronunciation of Kaoru Mitoma
I seem to pronounce it differently to Guy Mowbray, who says “Kay-or-roo”
Whereas I’ve always believed to be “Kaw-ru”
It's definitely not Kay-or-roo. Best way I can describe it phonetically for British pronunciation is Cow-ru, 🐮 which I think might have been what you meant by Kaw?

Wow that was pretty appalling even by their standards.

WTF the little love in at the start of the post match analysis pointing out how good Newcastle were! Did they check the score and how about how good our defending was if they only managed to score from a penalty?

And the ridiculous glossing over key moments with the excuse about how marvellous VAR is? In particular how about calling out the blatant dive by Willock? How about it was never even a foul for the free kick that led to the handball penalty? Van Hecke slides but then almost pulls out but their player drags hooks his foot and then goes over. And on the subject of diving how about Tonali trying to get Wieffer a second yellow and quite possibly the only decision the ref got right even though I don't think it was even a foul.

The whole coverage boiled my piss!

How different it might have been if only Gomez could head straight!

They are under incredible pressure to get a highlights show out the same night and do an incredible job.

But editorially they get it wrong far too often and favour one team over the over.

Absolutely! As you say the editing and the analysis would totally skew the perception of how the game played out for someone watching who was not there.
