2,001 unsold seats today for Newcastle when I checked just before kick-off (well, took screenshots on my phone which I've just got round to adding up).

W3G (my block) had the most seats for sale with 92.

Why did the exchange open with still 2,000 tickets unsold? Seems a low threshold.

Or were those STs on the exchange unsold?

The latter, exchange doesn't open until all tickets are sold (so all STHs + other available tickets).

Ours haven’t been picked up for the Liverpool game yet either.
I could see a large DUMPING of tickets onto the exchange for Liverpool, particularly if we don't get anything at Wolves and other results go against us.

Today's travel shitshow won't be encouraging people to go through the same midweek, particularly those with younger kids.

No, I agree. It became a no go for us on the Monday because of work commitments, and I imagine many more will feel the same.

But as we all know, that decision has been done to death on here at this point.

Looking around the stadium it was the emptiest I remember seeing it this season (I’ve missed a couple of games due to illness though).

Yeah West Lower a surprising number of empty seats this week and last - usually pretty full most weeks.

End of season apathy, lots going on in the city this weekend, and travel chaos especially isn't helping I don't think. Its a real shame travel is having an increasing effect on the attendances and early leavers. wish something could be done about it

It was strange there seemed a lot more empty seats than for West Ham probably 4-5 thousand, the shelf was half empty even though there weren’t that many tickets available.

I know - although not every single seat is sold before exchange opens afaia - there were a few hundred available still for Liverpool when the exchange opened last week.

Tbf strictly speaking there were 2,000 tickets not re-sold.

Just wanted to clarify that it was STHs not attending being the reason as opposed to the Club not shifting non-STH seats.

A Sunday match on the May Bank Holiday Weekend when many families will be busy/away.

And I’ve said it before, Sunday is awful
for public transport add that to the road problems today, it’s not surprising many didn’t make it or didn’t even try.

There were lots more empty seats at KO as loads of us were stuck on the A27. Made it to our seats at 2.35 after leaving EDF just after 1pm. Apparently bus drivers don't use Google Maps or Waze...

I’m waiting for the 1901 exchange to open but if there are 1,000s of cheaper tickets available, 1901ers might not bother listing their seats ☹️

Both WSL and ESL had widespread no shows/unsold for the WHU game. ESL was very noticeable on MOTD. At the time I wondered if the true attendance was 25k?

On 60 minutes.

There will almost certainly be some submitted to the exchange already but, as was the case with West Ham, the club hold back the sell-side to minimise purchases from visiting fans.

Re-sale of 1901 tickets for West Ham only commenced a day or two before the West Ham game and coincided with @Superphil phoning the club to ask why his ticket(s) weren't available to buy.
