[Albion] Yankuba Minteh SINGS on 5 year contract

Fabulous signing. We’ve definitely got at least two right this season

He has performed extremely well in his first season.
I get fed up with the way Warren Aspinall keeps slagging him off.
Minteh is learning his trade and scoring and assisting very well
He doesn’t ’slag him off’, he’s challenged his contribution and attitude sometimes and rightly so. Equally praised him. But once you’ve made your mind up in his defence then you probably don’t here that?

Our MOTM today, was well up for it. The usual poor decision making at times, but if he always made the right decisions he wouldn’t be playing for Brighton. Worked very hard defensively and menaced both full backs and the goalkeeper with relentless pressing and running behind. Put a real shift in. Excellent today.

Neither here nor there
Minteh and Dunk had “words” in the second half with a bit of pushing and shoving that looked a bit heated. Can’t remember the circumstances. Maybe someone else knows what it was about.

Gotta admit the celebration was bloody weird and quite annoying. FFS mate you never played for them.

Was strange he was praying and pointing at Newcastle fans seemingly thanking them and it looks like a few of our players reminded him who he should be celebrating with and he started pointing to the badge on his shirt. Might be wrong but that’s how it looked very odd as you say never kicked a ball for them.

I'm beginning to like Yankuba more and more, had a good game today l thought, including scoring our goal of course. Ok at 21 he still has a long way to go, but he showed plenty of enthusiasm and desire.

Positionally he still has a lot to learn, and he can react a bit like a headless chicken at times. But he is direct and pacy with an eye for a goal. Could have a big big future in the game.

Yep. It was creepy and weird and went through about 12 emotions in 20 seconds. You could see JPvH and Dunk's celebrations with him were both 'well done mate' and 'now fùck off back to the half way line and stop being a tit' at the same time.

I think he's just an emotional guy. Apparently very well liked and funny and lively in the dressing room

Wasn‘t sure at all in the first few months but he is getting better. I took the celebration as he was responding to some stick from the Newcastle fans.

He was definitely saying I didn’t ask for this move. Don’t see that as a particularly bad thing or surprising because he was sold out of necessity and undeniably puts a shift in for us most games.
