Actually wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s agreed a move. He’s hardly Mac. Something ain’t right in his head this season.

I think Welbeck much prefers playing with Rutter as he’s on the same wavelength.
I actually think we may do better without JP for the next three games. MOR playing the number ten role.
I’m pretty sure he’s off this summer and FH has had issues managing him this season with the only carrot being ‘what will your future club think of your behaviour’ which is why he was given the captaincy.
Shame as it didn’t have to end this way. See AliMac.

I think JP prefers to be playing with Rutter too though. I’ve said it more than once this season that I don’t think DW and JP dovetail well at all, and I don’t think either is more to blame than the other. When both start it also lessens our options from the bench.

We’d better not be getting Darwin “barn door” Nunez coming the other way, we’ve dodged that bullet once already

Done deal to Liverpool in the summer, which is why he has been on the beach since January, physically and metaphorically.
Given your certainty, it would be very embarrassing if this does not turn out to be the case.
For you, I mean

That's a silly statement.

Last season in the Premier league he played the same number of games as João Pedro and scored 11 non penalty goals and made 8 assists. Joao Pedro scored 5 non penalty goals and made 3 assists.

This season he's played half the amount of minutes of João Pedro, and has scored the same number of non penalty goals.

He'd be a brilliant signing.

In 2023/24 Nunez had excellent overall goals and assists stats. This season he’s not been trusted by Slot because misses have crept in, although he scored the very late winning goals against Brentford. He’s no PL flop and there’s been a long list of them who cost mega fees. I reckon he’ll depart for Atletico Madrid or a Saudi club for the insane money.

This. He’d be a brilliant signing. This is an example of some of our fan base becoming a bit ‘Leeds’.

I’ve thought for a while that Nunez feels like the type of player who can’t quite hack it in the 24/7 fish tank that is a club like Liverpool. He’s quick, mobile, strong, works hard and is direct, just what our manager would like.

He’s playing in a team which creates a lot more chances than we do, so of course he has padded stats. You’re comparing apples and oranges. When you create fewer chances you need a clinical striker, and Nunez has demonstrated throughout his Liverpool career that he isn’t that.

That logic doesn’t stack up. All our strikers miss chances, Neal Maupay your honour, even Glen and Bobby missed plenty, as does Danny. If we need a striker who scores 1 out of 2 chances then you’re describing a world class striker and they wouldn’t be with us would they!!
