I remember going to a pub in Patcham many years ago with our grandchildren aged 2 and 4 and were not allowed in due to the children, even though we were going to eat there !

Whilst standing in the doorway deciding next move we saw dogs allowed in!
That's because all dogs, without exception, eat children.

The Woof. Stopped in there to watch the Grand National after walking my bro-in-law’s dog. Good beer. Lovely chatty landlady. Very bright pub. Very contemporary. Two purpose built dart lanes. Two dogs in pub. Very big projector screen on wall. Very different offering to the Crown & Anchor 25 metres away.
I haven't been in there since last summer, but I thought the landlady was very nice and chatty when I was there. The only reason I haven't been back is because they had some problems over the winter and it was closed for long periods. But I was thinking about popping down there and chucking some darts in the next few weeks.

I do want to give it a go. You never know!

You were right. Permanently closed since April. Doggone!
I started going in there regularly last autumn. Friendly staff in there, and I felt sorry for them because quite often id be the only person in there, or at best there'd be a handful of people. But to be honest they struggled to keep the beer in good condition. A couple of times of times my first pint of the evening made me feel sick. It was also expensive in there. They could have done with having one or two pints that were £5. I think that would have encouraged a few people in. Shame though, because the people were nice.

I drive past there 4!or 5!times a day and when they launched they had a cheap tarp sign tied onto the wall announcing their grand opening night extravaganza, it was still up several months after and one of my passengers commented that any business that still has a sign up like that many weeks after won’t be run properly if they can’t get the basics right
