I don’t like dumping in the company of anyone but myself. But if I had to with someone in an adjoining cubicle I’d much prefer it wasn’t a woman. (I am a man).

Age is no doubt a factor in not being open to doing my business around a wider range of people. I guess it’s going against what I’ve always known.

I see it as another thing on the list of societal changes that continue to be made that make modern life a little bit less enjoyable.

Yeah, right.

I did external examining at Cambridge a few years ago (intercalating medics) and they operate a pass mark based initially on % (nominally 40) that is scaled to ensure approximately X% pass, based on historical data.

Where we are we set a pass mark and get on with it.

For level 7 the pass mark is 50%.

At level 6, if you get a Desmond or Douglas your options are limited.
Masseur.
Sliced potato cooking operative.
Researcher for the Reform party.
That sort of thing.
50% for a 2:1? From a UK top 5 uni.

Education's gone.

When dumping, would you prefer to be in a cubicle next to:

A biological female who identifies as a man; or
A biological male who identifies as a woman?

I’d choose the biological woman who identifies as a man , if faced with that unlikely scenario

more like 58.5-68.5, that was the pass mark
That’s what I was confused about.

The implication from Harry’s email was that a Third and 2:2 was a level 6 (pass mark of 40%). Then he said that a pass for a level 7 was 50%. The next higher grade than a 2:2 is a 2:1.

level 6 is bachelours, level 7 masters and level 8 doctoral. You need > 50% to pass an MSc and 40% (third class) BSc (other degrees available)

At the end of my tether
Talking of preferences, when I was in hospital locally a few years ago there was a T/V night nurse or Health Care Assistant who used to see to my needs . He was male turning female. That was not a good thing for me but I kind of got used to him/her . He was a big chap with a gruff voice, the most unlikely female there could be . You get no choice of carer in the NHS

Where did you get that from?

At level 6 (BSc) 50% just gets you a 2:2.
At level 7 (MSc) it gets you a 'pass'.

The evidence suggests you know very little about universities.
You would never believe what a Full Grant is worth these days ???

Indeed I know very little about universities.

Just as you know very little about the topic being covered on this thread.

Doesn’t stop you posting utter drivel about it incessantly though.

I just thought you might appreciate being on the receiving end of some drivel for a change. Apparently not.

That's one of the most pathetic childish posts I have read for a long time.

If it stops you posting utter drivel on a topic you know f*** all about, I’ll count it as a win.
I expect I know a lot more about it than you,
especially given you have admitted you know nothing.
Aren't you a moderator?

Thatcher's Britain. Thatcher's bloody Britain. Look at me. I'm young, I'm pretty, I've got a 2:2, blooming good grade as well, considering I didn't do a sod of work, cause I'm so hard. And look at me now. Homeless, cold and prostitute.

Can I suggest you read my (very few) previous posts on this thread before you continue with your ridiculous assertions.

I have not admitted I know nothing about the topic of this thread. I have indeed admitted I know nothing about universities (despite my partner being a senior lecturer at one).

I have read all of the SC judgement, EA 2010, GRA 2004, and the full Hansard transcripts of the debates in the Commons and Lords on the topic in question. As you’d know if you’d read my previous posts.

Moderators are allowed to post on any topic they wish. Since you imply impropriety on my behalf, please be advised that I told mod towers many days ago that I felt unable to moderate this thread since I have a personal interest in the topic. As you’d also know if you’d read my previous posts.

I may be a tit.

On the topic of this this thread, you’re an uneducated, insufferable bore yapping on incessantly over a half of mild and bitter.

I repeat my assertion. On the topic of this thread, your posts indicate you know f*** all.
