When your role is that of peacemaker, language such as 'Ukraine will be crushed very shortly' is inexplicable. It is 100% NOT the language you should be using.

For a start, recent history of the war suggests the opposite, but even if that were not the case, that is the language of mindless incompetence and not peace.
Ukraine is an inconvenience to him.
Zelenskiy is an inconvenience to him.
Because they won't roll over and die quietly.
European leaders, senior US senators etc need to call Trump out for this.

The only reason I can give is that Kellogg was too pro Ukraine, and Trump wanted the opposite. I can't think of any other reason 🤷🏼‍♂️.
Here's a longer video clip I think, makes me 🤮

Ahh no, sorry, it was just Geraschenko's edit.

I'm sorry I don't have the answer that you seek.

What I will say, is nothing is forever. Not Putin. Not the Russian empire. Not Trump. And not Trump's intransigence.

Things will change. In the meantime, it is in Ukraine's interest to keep the US (and Europe) onside. Which it is doing.
Take comfort in Zelenskyy being streets ahead of Putin and Trump. And Zelenskyy and Ukraine being on the side of Europe.

Scary numbers, but it's just monthly breakeven for Russia. And their propaganda line is:
"It is necessary to prepare the male population and, naturally, to defend the homeland." 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Russia is like one of those fake rattle snakes. You’re conditioned to fear the noise, regardless of any actual substance.

Paul Warburg’s latest is about how Russia is running out of Russians. That article you’ve shared itself notes what happened last time Putin went for a large-scale draft.

Yes indeed, they can't run out fast enough as far as I'm concerned.
Warburg does explain stuff very clearly.
I am waiting for the Kremlin announcement about baby farms: willing women and a long queue of army officers, to fill the ranks of the future.
I'm only half joking.

So Russia and North Korea have started to build their first road bridge across the river that is their 17km border. There is also an old Soviet rail bridge.
Hopefully that's two targets for Ukraine one day.

Ukraine signs minerals deal with USA.

According to Auntie:

Can't help feeling that Ukraine has been shafted - USA coming in to pick over the remains like jackals. Will be interesting though if Russia now tries to move in and take 'America's' minerals - maybe it will give Ukraine a degree of protection. Would rather they'd done a deal with Europe though.

Excuse my ignorance but are there significant mineral deposits in the Ukraine areas US has said should become part of Russia?

I believe there are significant mineral deposits all over Ukraine, but obviously I have no knowledge of what is in what particular location. Pretty obvious too that it is part of the reason why Russia went in.

Not sure if this is the case. Ukraine is always sell some of the resources as that what countries do. I think it’s down to how much they tie the US into supporting them against Russia.
It does prove that peace was never the end game, so makes Trump look even more of a **** than he normally does, which is going some.
Trump has a habit of reneging on a deal so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I‘m of the view that due to Europe and various other countries backing Ukraine to the tune of 800 billion euro’s regards weapons etc it’s weaken Trumps hand. A number of posters have said that Zelensky was stringing Trump along and that seems to be the case. Trump bullying, insulting and generally being an arse where Zelensky kept quiet and continued meeting with other world leaders and making agreements on future funding. Trump would have hated that.

I found this useful summary of the US-Ukraine deal on Nexta:

A detailed version of it will come later, but on the surface, the deal doesn't look nearly as one-sided as earlier versions.

It was never going to be as Ukraine had the support of Europe to the tune of 800 billion euros …….
