Too right.

After my recent success fixing my lavatory flush, last night I successfully repaired my shower drain where it had become detached from the drain-away pipe, somewhere in this mystical new world I discovered, called The Place Beneath The Shower Tray.

Mt first thought, when I noticed the shower room had flooded, was to come straight on here and ask for urgent help. But I thought I should at least attempt to diagnose the problem first, before putting out an urgent call for @BN9 BHA , @Wrong-Direction or @SIMMO SAYS

Without NSC as back up, I’d never have attempted anything like that.

(I did have an uncontrollable urge to go straight to the nearest cafe for a full English and a Lambert & Bulter once I’d fixed the shower. But I’m told this is normal and nothing to worry about)

Talking of which, thanks to my thread on Building & Contents insurance, I found a good policy which was a third of the cost I had been quoted.
