Crowborough 2-0 Petersfield

Great performance from the lads last night thoroughly deserved the victory.

Started quickly and got the goal the start deserved after about 15 minutes. Stayed that way until half time. Second half was more of the same. Crows were the the dominant side but Petersfield had a constant threat on the break. Crowborough put the game to bed with about 10 to go, shot from the left was well saved by the keeper but he could only parry it out for a tap in.

Kudos to the referee who I thought was excellent. Set his stall out early and stuck to it.

Eastbourne at home Sunday which is a bit of a shame as I'm sure both teams will have Albion season ticket holders likewise Eastbourne Borough and Worthing (should they get there). I'm trying (and failing) to find someone to have my Newcastle ticket.

Infinity are a team from Hampshire playing at the old Sidlesham FC ground , why though ?

Anyway did get to visit The Oval last night for the play off semi v Haywards Heath
A pretty slow first half but the game came to life soon after the restart when Heath's Flynn Bolton put the visitors ahead
For EU though James Hull leveled the score in the 56th minute and EU would have gone ahead on 83mins but for an incredible last ditch tackle from Jonathan Sanchez who looked badly hurt in the process and was substituted . Hope he is walking OK today .
In the 90th min though a EU corner taken by Arthur Grout evaded the HH keeper and put the hosts into the play off final .

NB, United's James Hull also scored twice in the corresponding fixture last season for Eastbourne Town V Hassocks at the Saffrons

Very competitive second half once it came alive, couldn't tell whether the keeper had a howler on the second, but your picture seems to say it went straight in! Tough match against Crowborough though, I think Crowborough will edge it.

Crikey the commentary on National League TV is embarrassingly biased...

Appreciate the comms are homers but all the 'we' and 'us' and 'them' mad and the co comm will explode if 'we' score

Probably a very tough mental proposition with the prospect of 3 additional games having been top of the league just 11 days ago.

That was rather underwhelming, Worthing looked like they were knackered, out of ideas and with lead in their boots. It’s been a long season, and they are part timers, so no shame in it, but they all must feel like shite for not capitalising when they were 6 points ahead last month.

Great evening at Leylands Park last night. The ground as wonderfully noisy as I've seen and heard it in years. The club pulled out all the stops too, putting on extra food and drink outlets and opening another turnstile to get people in quicker.

Margate probably shaded the first half but Burgess Hill were composed and organised in defence second period. Margate tired and in the last twenty, Hill were running all over them.

Very tough game in prospect Friday, but we travel in hope!

Yes, I believe our allocation was just 175.

Genuinely gutted that I can't go on Friday. I've loved watching the Hill this season and seeing how the club is striving to progress on and off the field.

Gary Mansell is a fine coach. Last night showed how well he has drilled and organised the side.

Hope we can beat Sittingbourne and go up. It'll be tough, though, right enough,

I thought that too. When the Worthing match finished I turned over to watch the end of the Conf. North equivalent game, Chester v Buxton. This went to extra time and was a far more exciting game to watch. Considering these teams are of the same standard, only separated geographically, the standard of football in the Chester/Buxton game seemed much higher. Better ball control, passing etc., and the only real difference was Chester's ground is grass not plastic and it's so much better to watch as a spectator.

Think it was 300. I’ve missed a lot of games as too many clashes with Albion games but get there when I can as only about 400 yards away 🤣 Got some good youngsters coming through as well.

Infinity !!! where, what, why ?
Their story is remarkable really.

I have no knowledge if they have any money but their rise seems to have come out of nowhere!

In other news chaos in Northern Premier League Premier Division as Stockton have been charged with playing an ineligible player in their Play Off win on Tuesday night.
