Was at Ashton gate for an evening game , think when CMS got injured, for the worst 0-0 in history ( apart from West Germany v Austria )
Southampton v Spurs 78 stitch up, surely???

Actually, no - BHA v Doncaster, Fans United 2. The worst game the world has ever witnessed.

I was in the North Stand as we played our game, with fevered reactions to rumours of goals at Stains. Alas.
I was also at the Donny 0-0. Yes, that was like fishing for a bit of lost bog-roll that had been carelessly poked up the rectum.

As a Bristol resident I’m going to confidently predict they won’t win the playoffs, sadly. Even though they’re in great form.
Honestly don’t think they’ll ever go up.
Also Bristol makes Brighton look like Liverpool in terms of being a football city.
What's the local game FFS? Hurling? Cheese-rolling?

Bath have suddenly come good in recent times. The Premiership seems a lot more open these days. No cheating Saffers....

For Harlequins though, we are back to bang average.

I’ve always regarded Harlequins as the Toffs Club. Shoot me down in flames if that is an incorrect assumption.
Well, they are perhaps the Fulham of the Premiership. I supported them because I wanted to watch top flight rugby and it was only an hour and a quarter on the train. They've always been a friendly bunch. But, yes, I am the token working class mule.

A while back, Bristol Rovers under Joey Barton were 4th in League 2 on goal difference. They needed to overcome already relegated Scunthorpe while Northampton were at Barrow with a better GD of around +4.

Things were going as expected in the first half as Northampton jumped into 3-0 lead inside 22 minutes but at half-time it was only 3-1 while Rovers were 2-0 up themselves - meaning Rovers still needed a five-goal swing. What happened in the second half was almost beyond belief - Rovers scored 5 more against Scunthorpe's demoralised team of kids (they fielded SEVEN teenagers), while Northampton couldn't add to their tally and thus Rovers pipped them to promotion.

So now fast forward to three seasons later, and Northampton (who have since made it up) post this:

Has anyone seen more blatant shithousery between two league clubs?

Are you suggesting it was not Joeys Genius?

I am suggesting Scunthorpe's lack of integrity caused that problem and subsequent bitterness - but in all honesty that is an embarrassing way for Northampton's admin to conduct themselves.
Yep. By all means make a sly reference. But no need whatsoever to quote tweet Rovers there. At least tweet something funny too, not just "see ya".

Football being football, that will inevitably come back to bite Northampton Town on the arse in seasons to come.

Exactly, and their beef ought to be with Scunny, who played their kids and didn't give a shit about the consequences - not Bristol Rovers who merely beat the team in front of them

Yep. Unless of course Rovers took the piss out of them that day. I mean, they were probably too busy celebrating to bother.
