If this forum represents 'realists' Harry, we are indeed doomed. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Fortunately, this forum represents nothing in real society. It's just a sort of internet comic for a significant number of gobby individuals who would improve their mental health immeasurably if they blocked it.

Ps; What a great football result for the Club today . Makes my 1000 mile round trip thoroughly worth it. Thought my dodgy heart was going to burst with happiness as Baleba,s shot hit the back of the net..! You just can't beat watching games live at the Amex. Thankyou Mr Bloom
Come on. You must enjoy the forum or you wouldn't be all over it 24/7 :lolol:

I am glad you enjoyed the day out. Unfortunately my knee replacement had me at home.
But my joy was nevertheless unparalleled

The moment of Having to Choose draws closer.

A trade deal with the US would be the biggest prize for British negotiators, who made major strides toward separate agreements with the EU and India on Tuesday.

But UK officials fear that a deal with the EU, which they hope to agree at a summit on 19 May, could make it more difficult to negotiate with a Trump administration that repeatedly criticises European trade policies.

Oh, and the Americans are now demanding that Britain accept their bleached chickens and mutant beefs.

I have reliably been informed today, that Rachel Reeves is going to reintroduce a window tax.😂😂😂.
The rate will be £3.50 per window, my informant didnt know if that was annually, or some other time frame.
She believes it, it was on Facebook apparently, so it must be true.
Should keep such rumours at bay, there's no room to tilt and turn.

Labour are going to get annihilated in Thursday's elections and while that's sad to the extent that it will signal a big shift to the right in this country, it should be made clear that today's Labour party are a massive part of that rightwing shift. Getting rid of them is a necessary step for a much healthier politics to emerge from progressives in this country

The country had its chance for a more modern progressive Labour twice, they blew it…

I think most people will see right through that one.

Window frame more like. Bit of a pane to administer though.

One of Britain’s oldest department stores is holding a “Rachel Reeves closing down sale”.

Beales, which has been trading for more than 140 years, is closing its remaining store in Poole, Dorset, at the end of May.

Given there are not many Labour areas voting on Thursday I suspect you will be disappointed. The narrative is going to be much more Tory vs Reform and Tory vs Lib Dem.

"Remaining Store" being the operative words here.

You will of course be well aware that Beales closed 22 of it's 23 stores in 2020. Under a Conservative Government - so it's a bit rich of them to blame Reeves for their slump / failures.
