In his 100 day celebration speech Trump claimed that for two months in a row there was the lowest number of illegal border crossings ever recorded.

While this might be the only true claim he made during his speech, the reduced numbers have nothing to do with more effective border control and more to do with Trump having turned the US into a country which no sane person would want to live anymore, which he has achieved in just the first 100 days of his Presidency.

Even the insane from all those "insane asylums" aren't mad enough to want to go and live there anymore. They'd rather stay where they are, in the relatively much saner space of their asylums.

China is the problem for Trump. apparently they're asking for US to state what they are negotiating - is it exports, subsidies, fentanyl, what ever other issue Trump and co have raised? that's before they even talk. meanwhile billions of $ of goods orders have been cancelled or not placed, shipping is turning down, in a month or two there will be very large gaps in the shops over there, and what there is will be hiked in price. expect significant inflation from June, recession in Q3. GDP figures out later today, expecting 0.4 down from 2.4 in Dec 2024.

I was listening to a radio programme and many of the Trump MAGA people were texting in messages that Trump has to do what he's doing because Biden left the economy in such bad shape. No one can say exactly what Biden did to the economy but that if Trump hadn't been elected the country would have been in such bad shape with the Democrats in power.

That sounds similar to James O'Brien asking his pro-Brexit callers exactly what Brexit benefit they were looking forward to the most. I don't think anyone came up with an answer beyond vague references to sovereignty and getting our laws back.
