As the final away game of a dead rubber match, won’t Liverpool play their kids? I know that won’t put off the Reds Plastics but it will be funny if they fork out nearly 70 notes and get no stars
My mate who is a Liverpool and Brighton fan ( born in Birkenhead but lived in Brighton since he was young- east stand STH ) tells me that the Brighton Kop have hired out a pub in Brighton and are having a huge party with bands and invites have gone out to players etc to join them. It’s a ticketed event with huge demand

there will be a lot of local Liverpool fans looking to see their heros on the Monday night so expect a rendering of YNWA ringing out from all stands

Your mate sounds like a Liverpool fan and an Albion follower. Who does he want to win?

Stewards will be busy.

I walked past the Palmeria in Hive the other day and noticed a great big f***ing Arsenal badge on the window. Appear they have taken that pub.

I know there are supporters of other teams in every city, but when you start seeing their badges everywhere it’s a bit rich.

It really shouldn't but this genuinely makes me sick up a little bit in my mouth.

Should introduce some kind of football club fan ID with qualifying criteria such as born in the town/city, lived in town/city for >10 years, parent was born in said town/city and introduced you to the club otherwise naff off, you're not a real fan. Find a new hobby.

And this should ONLY apply to the traditional top 6. Everyone else, fill your boots.

Also Mate has been told several young players need to play a few games to get winners medals so Liverpool might be playing the kids.....this weekend will tell.
You need 5 Premier League appearances to be awarded a winners medal. Only Chiesa (hardly a youngster!) is missing out at present with 4 appearances, but I am sure he will play at least once more in the remaining 4 games. I doubt they give any minutes to the third choice goalkeeper.

Twenty-one players have already made at least five Premier League appearances for 2024-25 champions Liverpool this season, guaranteeing them a medal.

They are:

  • Goalkeepers - Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher
  • Defenders - Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Bradley, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Andrew Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas
  • Midfielders - Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai
  • Forwards - Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo
Italian forward Federico Chiesa, who signed for about £10m from Juventus last summer, has made only four appearances in the Premier League this season, totalling 33 minutes.

Meanwhile, third-choice goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros and young striker Jayden Danns, now on loan at Sunderland, have played a single game each.

Indeed, and hundreds (around 900) tickets available, spread out in pretty much every stand, plenty of choice.
Oddly no 1901 tickets though.

Maybe the exchange for these opens a bit later?
