Hadn't seen these complimentary comments from FH regarding Charlie Tasker before.

Fabian Hurzeler said... "Every player who's in the squad has the chance to play for us and that's the same for Charlie. Charlie's a homegrown player. He's been here since he was six years old, he went through the academy. He has all the values from this club inside of his body. He has the physical basics to play in the Premier League. He has the mindset to play in the Premier League. He’s a very humble and grounded character, and we really appreciate that. He's now a part of our first team, so I always say to him that he has to be patient, that he has to work hard in the training sessions. I'm someone who doesn’t care about age, it's only about being better than your teammate and what he's trying to do every day. If we see the chance is there for him to be a starter or to get into the game, then I'm sure we will do it soon."

Another few home grown players would be very handy. Tasker and Simmonds have been in a few match day squads recently.

How many of our team played in the 10-0 victory earlier in the season?

First half didn’t go well

Slater absolutely killed us for the third, just as we were getting back into it. Defending is just like the first team, absolutely appalling.

The most important thing this evening is that Joe Knight has managed to pick up his 15th booking of the season. Well played, Joe, well played. Maybe still time to turn it into a red, to go along with your straight red card after just five minutes against Aldershot in November?

You say this every single game to dig him out and try to get others on the band wagon, has he been through your mrs or something?

Very close to a red tonight.

The match report on the club website states that Knight started in central defence, so how did we line up defensively? Was it Penman at RB, Knight and Simmonds at CB and Slater at LB? Zane Albarus has often been used at RB when Tasker hasn't been available so I assumed he would play there again. Seems strange to have a CB at rightback and a MF in central defence.

Agreed, for consistency with the first team they should be playing a MF in central defence and another MF at right-back.

It seemed to start as a back 4 of RB: Simmonds CB: Penman & Knight and LB: Slater, however after going 2 down Albarus seemed to slip back into a back 4 and knight into midfield. Or alternatively we were playing Knight in that CDM role that FH used at St Pauli where he drops inbetween the centre back, with Albarus (who wore number 2) as more of a wing back. Knight was playing CB early but it wasn’t the case by half time. Tasker was sat in the stand and wasn’t playing due to having to be fit for the first team.
