I see Trump has failed to condemn the Russian missile attack on Sumy on Sunday describing it "as a mistake". Morally bankrupt.
The former Lithuanian foreign minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has the correct answer to this one, as reported in the Guardian.

"Gabrielius Landsbergis, a former Lithuanian foreign minister, said: “This was not a mistake. A mistake is something like imposing tariffs on penguins. What we saw in Sumy is a deliberate continuation of a genocidal invasion. Our real mistake is not helping Ukraine enough.”

I just heard Trump on the radio a few minutes ago, castigating Ukraine for starting a war with a nation 20 times it's size.
This was broadcast without comment.
On the BBC.

I am beginning, now, to understand how millions of people became convinced that Jesus was the son of god.
And, for the record, RDZ was sacked.

You sure about the last bit?
I was thinking of tagging you in the post, then realized you'd smoke it out quickly enough.
And ...... I was right.
And yes.....certain.
But..... do you think that maybe.... there is a different view?

Think I heard it on the 1730’news on radio 5 (yes I know!) but they did comment then.

Or 1700.

It’s interesting the level of dislike aimed on this thread against the American regime.

The whole movement of Leftism is centred around anti American & anti westernism.

The leftists have typically collaborated with reactionary forces that are against the west so historically they were aligned with the Soviet Union. The leftist feminists would visit the Soviet Union & come back & say what a lovely country it was to live in.

Meanwhile Stalin was killing millions of his own people.

Noam Chomsky for example wrote Manufacturing convent which has influenced the leftists to think the most ridiculous ideologies.

After 9-11 & the collapse of the Soviet Union the leftists started to look for a new ally.

Islamism was starting to take a foothold in the leftist circles & they started to say the same rhetoric they said after Oct 7th.

Oh the jihadis they are just victims of western imperialism. Poor Bin laden fighting against the west despite the fact he was at the time the biggest terrorist in the Middle East.

So the leftists felt they now had a new ally against the west.

Once it was formed they just had to behave in the same way they did when they were aligned with the Soviet Union - that is they knew exactly what was going on but as it was their ally they had to whitewash the crimes of their ally & instead intensify & magnify conversations about anti westernism & how the west is bad and how anything the Islamists do that is evil & wrong is only a reaction to the big bad west.

I think you'll find that the slight edit is more accurate, which begs me to ask what you think about the current president?

I’m not a fan of trump he has done a lot of ridiculous things but also a small number of decent stuff but the USA is not our enemy & never will be.
'Ridiculous' is a bit of an understatement and I'm curious about the 'decent stuff'. Do you not think that the path is heading in a more dictatorial direction with Trump and his sycophants?

US President Donald Trump is in "excellent cognitive and physical health", says his White House physician.

In the first annual physical of his second presidential term at a Washington DC-area hospital, Trump was also found to have "scaring on the right ear from a gunshot wound", after an assassination attempt last July.

"President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function," his doctor, Captain Sean Barbabella, said in a memo.

Reassuring news from the Beeb.
Indeed it is. Cos he ain’t long for this world thank God Almighty in the highest heaven
I’ll give him six months 🤞🤞🤞
