On another tack, lauras wedding is on the Saturday of the Newcastle game ( which is now Sunday). I will try to get there driving back from Salisbury, but if I am delayed and can’t make it, will the club send me a shitty email about not being a good fan?
Surely if they want you there that badly the private jet should be waiting at a near by airfield.

Love this as a subterfuge tactic!

Ring ring, ring ring…”Hello, is that Herr T?”, “Speaking…”, “Due to non-attendance, we’re cancelling your ST. Have you anything to say before we do?”, “….Just thank you!”
Have you anything to say before we do?”

Herr Tubthumper blasts down the phone line

On the same tack, heartiest congratulations to Laura aka BAG aka one of our own

Rubbish, only going for 50 years, that's not enough loyalty to deserve a season ticket.

You really need to have been present on 28 November 1973 0-4 loss to Walton and Hersham1 December 1973 2-8 loss to Bristol Rovers, among others rather than a JCL
I watched the Bristol rovers game as I lived in Wiltshire and the goals were shown on the evening roundup. Does that count?

Leatherhead 3-0 was also a highlight.

Wasn't Leatherhead 4-0?

They’re not going to have empty seats, they go on the exchange. We’re talking about one season where circumstances change - not age, mobility etc. Don’t know about you but my ST is about who I sit with more than anything else - you’re giving that up.
I think the problem the club have is people not going and not putting them on the exchange. That said, I believe the new conditions are that you must go to 25% of games, ie 5 a year. If you can't commit to that then why shouldn't the club take back that ST and sell it to someone who can?

I would also respectfully suggest that if you know in advance that it will be one season where your circumstances have changed then contact the club to explain that it is only for that year then I'm sure they will probably accommodate that.

I was at the Bristol game, the club now reward me with a discount on my season ticket every year! The two events may not be related though 🤣

Never mind good fan, what sort of a Father allows his daughter to get married during the football season

Hope you all have a great day

I'll ask again because i know that others have fed back that they have had similar issues and the club - by all accounts , and several posters on here are actually as @dsr-burnley and @Herr Tubthumper have suggested actually quite accomodating about this - understanding the desire to keep season ticket holders together as a group. And open to the idea of options if season ticket holders are , i dunno , suddently offered as part of their job the chance to spend 6 or 12 months living abroad with strong likelihood of returning and wanting to be a ST holder again. So is this a hypothetical ?
(so as i think i said a few pages back - no need for any shenanigans)

Your view. The fact that some seem to think they have a god given right to retain a season ticket that they will not use and know that is why I suggest some are entitled.
@Talby doesn't think that, but I can understand how one may draw that conclusion.

I thought this thread was dead, and then up it pops again.
And my thread, my thread, my thread showcasing the music of Mr Kitty has sunk without a trace into oblivion.

To quote Peter Cook, what a way to run a nightclub.

Ask Joel. He's the man. I plan to speak to him soon about my incapacity post April 22.
(Or one of his equally lovely colleagues).

Whenever I've phoned up they've all been the epitome of helpfulness.

But if truth is known, I'd rather be outraged
Yes. It's so more-ish.

I can remember when @Bwian denounced his season ticket.
Then had to ask the club for it back.
(Apologies Bwian if I have some of the details wrong :lolol: )

At a time when it seems STs are not walking out the door and available to anybody I am sure club will be even more helpful
The availability of STs is a surprise as 93% renewed. Maybe club will now look on us a little differnt instead of often club indicating doing us a favour selling to us at a reduced price

Wonder if the slight churn (down 2% from precious renewal rate) was organic solely or the club actually took some action and didn’t offer a season ticket to some who didn’t attend enough games.
